We booked attic room #5 and felt fortunate to find a place to stay in Bethel during the holiday weekend and at the height of leaf peeping season. The inn was built in the 1800's and has quirky elements - such as a tiny shared bathroom on the attic floor, a narrow stairway and squeaky floors. The room was clean...

The owner Sandy could not have been more hospitable. We stayed in the spacious downstairs suite. The full breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits and cereal besides the hot eggs to order, bacon & pancakes. Great breakfast, clean rooms & reasonable rates! We will be back to this hidden gem.

The room was large - queen bed + double - the floors squeaked, especially those in the bathroom for the next room from which all toileting sounds could also be heard. The first experience was attempting to flush the toilet in the attached bath: the handle fell off. The 1865 house has been updated over the years, but the lack...

Property was OK. Breakfast was not even close to advertised "world class." Bacon (soggy) and eggs, and pancakes that tasted 'out of the box." Room was sparse, and mattress hard/uncomfortable. Noisy window air conditioner. Bethel has so much to offer should it decide to update/upgrade the town in general, but generally poor choices for lodging as well as restaurants, and...

We stayed one night only in this historical inn where Sandra, the host, is very nice and friendly. Our room was very spacious for the 3 of us, with privat bathroom with shower. Located in the center of town, but very silent. Excellent breakfast: coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, pancakes, cereals, eggs, bacon, toasted bread, jam. The perfect place in...

We spent a weekend skiing at Sunday River with a small group of high school students. We choose the bunk section of the bed and breakfast, where the kids could spread out their gear and relax in their own space. The experience they got far exceeded staying in a cramped hotel room. The bottom floor had a kitchen to make...

A repeat trip for us to watch a ski competition. We stayed in the main house while our son (a ski coach) stayed in the bunk room with the young folks who were participating in the competition. We were comfortable, well-fed, and relaxed. There were young families with children, young couples, and singles...... most of whom were there to ski....

Sandy is a terrific hostess and makes a killer breakfast each morning. Mike isn't bad either (he's her Belgian Sheepdog), but don't worry, he only comes out if you're dog-friendly. Rooms (we stayed in 2) were clean, highly affordable, neat and accommodating. We even got to transfer the terry-cloth robes to another room for our 2nd night. Perfect place for...

Where do I start? First of all, we spent 4 nights here. During that time I took 3 showers. Two of them were ice cold because the hot water heater couldn't keep up with demand. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny and outdated. The carpet, wallpaper and window treatments were outdated. We had room 3. This...
