So, I didn’t realize this “inn” is basically a motel. It’s clean, comfortable beds, very small….bathroom very small, they give you slivers of soap. Stained tile in bathroom from a leak above. I would call it a tired 80’s look. It was not a place I looked forward to returning to for a respite after a morning & afternoon of touring. The lady who checked us in was efficient, but, don’t try to ask any questions as she has her “Schpiel” that will ultimately answer your most of your ?’s. She does NOT like to be interrupted….I guess it throws her off track. Who knows, it’s a little off putting though for someone in the hospitality industry. Our first night we were awakened by sounds about 1:30 am that sound like they were throwing around boulders. That went on for about an hour before they settled down. Sunday morning we were awakened at 6:30 am by totally inconsiderate smokers who chose to use the chairs under our window for smoking and talking. If you stay here, my advice would be to remove those chairs. The front desk response was “oh, folks are not supposed to smoke there, but, guess what? There was no sign saying so an no one to stop them. Getting back to check in, we asked the woman about restaurant recommendations and her response was “I don’t eat out, so, I can’t say, similar to what another reviewer wrote. Bottom line, I would not recommend this place. Spend a little more money and get a more pleasant experience. Judy May 2022…
Decent hotel for the price, great location and convenient to Coastal Maine Botanical Garden. The front staff girl was new and a little overwhelmed. It was understandable since most places at that time were having staffing issues. The girl was a little rude when I asked where to get a Lobster Roll & stated 'she didn't eat around here.' The continental breakfast was a bonus with lots of breakfast options and staff was friendly running it. The best feature was small restaurant across the parking lot from hotel in the same building as the continental breakfast. It was not part of the hotel but excellent food and service. Better than any places in downtown Boothbay Harbor. I would stay there again if in the area.
Service at the desk when we arrived was very friendly. The room was nice, although a microwave would have been nice. Nice location, not too far from where we visited during the day. Quiet area and close to eateries, pharmacy etc.
The room was a bit on the small side but clean and good for one nights stay. The breakfast was really limited, most likely due to Covid. Staff were friendly and gave some pointers on things to see in the area. It’s basically a no frills motel, but fine for a night or two.
I had a great stay here, the front desk staff was very friendly, the rate was very reasonable and the room was very clean & comfortable. I had to work nearby so this was just a quick solo visit and I booked a king bedroom - great bed. I would definitely stay at the Flagship Inn again!
It's roomy; however, the carpets were old and the room had musty/mildew smell. We had to open both doors to air out the smell while it was in the 40's outside. Other than that, it was okay for one night stay.
1980's era motel that was okay for one night. The room was slightly musty smelling and the bed was saggy. Price was high for a place without charm or updates. I would probably choose somewhere else next time but it was fine for one night.
We stayed one evening at Flagship Inn. It is located on a main road near a shopping area. It is very close to Boothbay Harbor where we had dinner that evening and were able to take a stroll around the following morning waiting for the Botanical Gardens to open. Initially they gave us a second floor room, but when I let them know we had been sightseeing all day and would there be a ground floor room available they accommodated us. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, tables were positioned far apart indoors. We had a very comfortable stay.
The Inn was not far from downtown Boothbay but I would have preferred to be down at the harbor. We booked this stay late and had few choices. The room was clean but the decor was very old and tired. An inexpensive room for a night.
Very nice room and a great location. No maid service but if you put out your towels each morning they will give you new ones. Had a continental breakfast. Very close to the largest Botanical Gardens in New England. Would stay there again.
