This is a roadside motel, and looks fairly old, but it is kept up reasonably well. The room was small, just big enough for two double beds, and a nightstand between them, so the people on the other side of both beds would not have good light for reading. The beds were fairly comfortable. The shower/toilet part of the bathroom was small, but the shower had a nice big showerhead with good spray and plenty warm. The bathroom had basic toiletries and a sink out in the main room. So not very quiet and hard to keep dark if people in the bedroom are sleeping. There even was an ironing board, but no iron.

The bedroom had a desk, comfortable desk chair, but no other seating. There was a combination chest of drawers/ cabinet with a large mini-fridge, with a small microwave and a small flatscreen TV on top. Wifi worked fine. The wall AC is in the sink area of the bathroom, so even though it's a bit loud, it is not in the bedroom. It was off when we arrived, but cooled down a very warm room in less than an hour, and kept us comfortable all night.

There is a small continental breakfast with make your own waffles, bagels, English muffins, cereal, juice, fruit, coffee, etc. Not bad. There was seating for 10 people, plus a table for six on the deck.

Service was friendly and prompt. An Indian family is running the motel. They seem to take some pride in running a decent place, not just milking it for money. The price was fair, all things considered, especially for mid-coast Maine during a summer of COVID. But book ahead. Everything fills up and then prices go through the roof.

This hotel was friendly, safe, old-fashioned goodness. I plan on going back. The ONLY drawback is that is was not terribly clean. My room needed a better vacuuming, and the shower could use bleach. With that said, it is a great place to stay to be within driving distance of everything. If you being a dog, please be kind and clean up after - it is a perfect pet friendly hotel and I want to go back with my dog.
If the room had been well cleaned I would give 5 stars.

Bottom Line is I slept well, shower was great, staff was patient and helpful. It’s an older courtyard style hotel about a mile from the shops and food. Seems to be well cared for even if some of the amenities are older and functional. Was mystified by the electric baseboard heater but true to promises from staff it eventually heated up and kept me comfortable on a very cold night. Discounted rate was one of the best deals around.

would never admit this in public but I stayed at a Rodeway Inn in Brunswick, Maine and no it was not for a hook up so no walk of shame. In reality for the price the room was very decent. There was even a table to do my writing work which is missing from many higher end places.

I read a number of negative reviews about the bed, but mine felt almost like new (maybe it was). The room was clean as the bathroom likely remodeled. My only complaint was that the TV did not work well. Overall, it was a value. Could I ever be spotted at another? I just might.

Skip it.

Firstly, NO breakfast in late March 2022 because of COVID? Give me a break!! And a 10am checkout? Are you kidding? I even asked nicely for an 11am checkout and they flat out out refused. Walls are super thin too - can hear my neighbors’ TV and the street noise.

Hard pass.

The walls are paper thin. I can clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room and the conversation taking place there. The room has an unpleasant smell. The mattress is uncomfortable. The toilet runs noisily at random. The TV is hit or miss. The channel I was watching froze up about 45 minutes ago and shows no sign of unfreezing. The whole experience gives Budget and Basic new, unwelcome meanings.

Stayed for one night. Thank God.... don't think I could have stayed more. I rented 3 rooms because I had family with me. Two adult married children and 6 grand kids. My entire unit smelled like urine. Showers had good water pressure but the showers were extremely dirty. One of them had blood splattered on the shower walls. Pictures don't lie but you can't really see the dirt in the pictures.
I am not one to ever do a review and have stayed in some pretty average hotels without any complaints. I did not complain to these owners about this because everything else in the area was booked up. My goal was not to get my money back either.
I would avoid this one at all costs if I were you. I will not go back. If you decide to book here, don't say I didn't warn you.

So this place charged me $118 and I never even stayed there. I was dumb enough to book in advance for a Friday night that wasn't crowded in Maine. There were plenty of vacancy signs, yet I booked this place in advance to be prepared. However, before staying there I tried calling and canceling the night, but my phone call would not go through to their office as their voice automation system would hang up on me. Finally after 7 tries I got through and the front desk said I could not cancel no later than 48 hours before the date of arrival. This is a roadside motel not the four seasons! If I were to have known that I wouldn't have given my credit card online. This policy should have been announced when I gave my credit card number online. I will call BBB and my credit card company to try to resolve this, because taking $118 from me on a non busy night is a scam. If you like dealing with people who scam you, stay here. But there are much cheaper, prettier, and nicer places to stay in Maine.

If you are just looking for a place to sleep that is clean and pet friendly and don't care about anything else then this is the place for you. If you are like me and want more then just a clean room then stay somewhere else. My room had a broken toilet seat, no remote for the TV, holes in the walls, bath tub that had no stopper so you could not take a bath. The bath tub also did not drain fast enough so you were standing in 3-4 inches of water during your shower. I was in a non smoking room but the room smelled so much like smoke that I could smell smoke on my clothes all day long. My luggage had to be sprayed with Febreze when I got home. I also smelled pet urine when I first entered the room. The mattress was hard and the pillows appeared to be down pillows so if you have an allergy you might want to bring your own. The walls were so thin that I could hear the children in the rooms next to mine. The furniture is very old and worn. The bathroom is so small that the door hits the toilet when open. I am only 5'2" and had a hard time moving around. On the positive side the room was clean and it had a fridge and microwave. There is also free WIFI but I did not use it. The woman at the check in desk was very nice. I did not partake of the breakfast as I am gluten free so I can not comment on that. I think this motel is over priced by about $20 per night.

Dirty..disgusting and a rip off. I cancelled through booking.com and even called motel and motel ended up charging me over 400 dollars. I tried to talk with owners of motel and they where rude and disrespectful. I have stayed there before and there is mold and the rooms smell like smoke, dirty animals and rotten food. I write almost 4/5 stars for everything but between bad ownership/management this place is the worst. I was triple charged on my debit card for a no show which I cancelled and even called and talked to motel a month prior.I tried nicely to talk to owner and even booking.com did and they got the same response I did. Rude rude rude... You have been warned that there place smells and are not clean and there managing practice is the worst I have ever felt with. You want a good deal..then boom a room but don't say that I and other reviewers did. Not warn you..There are so many other choices in the area... Look on yelp and other search areas on reviews of this place And they will speak for them selves..stay away ! Disgusting and I am disgusted !!!
