Williams Pond Lodge is one of those places that’s out of a storybook – the view of the lake, the comfy, cozy rooms and décor – every little detail has been taken into consideration to make your stay there a true Maine experience. The bed and breakfast is run by David who is high on hospitality and a character of...

Very nice room in an ecologically run B&B. Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water in a nice bath with shower. Williams Pond is scenic. Canoes and kayaks available. Eagle and heron seen while on the pond. Breakfasts and snacks plentiful and delicious. Host, David very interested in making your visit enjoyable in a lovely area of Maine. The...

My husband and I stayed with Dave for 4 nights and I wish it was longer. When I was looking for a place to stay in Maine I did not want to be in the middle of town. I was looking for something that would make me feel like I was in Maine, and this was it. Rooms are really...

We had originally booked this B&B to break up our Boston to Saint John N.B. trip since it was pretty close to half way. It ended up being the best part of our trip! We spent three nights in the Treehaven room (Highly recommend this room) and thus were lucky enough to have three AMAZING breakfasts with the host, David,...

My husband and I had the chance to get away for an evening and decided to use a certificate to WPL that someone had given us. What a fantastic gift!! We are already planning on going back in the fall, cannot wait!! The room was adorable with a fun outdoorsy/camping theme, but not kitschy. The grounds themselves are just lovely,...

Superbly remote location at the end of a track, way out in the woods on the edge of a lake. David lives in a wonderful old cabin that has a suberb open plan common area where he excels in entertaining and producing unexpected culinary delights. The accommodation comprises three gueest rooms in a nearly new and extremely well designed and...

I have just completed my third visit to Williams Pond Lodge. Twenty-one nights! Wonderful! I arrived in late Spring and saw the arrival of Summer and July 4th. As always, David was a terrific host, breakfast chef, dessert baker, conversationalist, planner of fun activities, piper, and sometimes companion on coastal excursions. I was lucky enough to see and hear him...

Williams Pond Lodge is a little out-of-the-way but well worth the trip. This off-the-grid bed and breakfast has all the amenities you could want - beautiful view, lovely rooms, excellent food, and an outstanding host. Don't miss kayaking or canoing and swimming on Williams Pond. A great getaway but near Acadia National Park.

My husband and I returned home from WPL yesterday. Our stay was delightful and delicious! Our host, David, welcomed us warmly and graciously. Our accommodations were comfortable and pleasantly relaxing. Our room was clean, cozy and had a beautiful view of the pond plus the most amazing shortbread cookies ever!. Our check in was quick as we headed right out...

Situated on the edge of a lake, this lodge in the woods is a 15-minute drive from Bucksport proper. The last 4 minutes are along a bumpy dirt or gravel road, which was a little disconcerting the first time, but we got used to it soon enough. The directions on the B&B's website are excellent. However, I would suggest going...
