Sorry for the delay in getting back in touch. Our daughter Bonnie was graduating from college and we took a little time away to celebrate with her. Part of the charm of the Five Gables is that it is an old inn, the flip side is that the older construction creates only limited handicap accessibility. However, we do have several rooms on the first floor that have worked as they do not require any stairs. We would be glad to discuss each of these rooms in more detail and see if we can accommodate your needs, please feel free to call us at your convenience.

Thanks for your interest in the Five Gables. We do not have air conditioning, the rooms are cooled by the fresh, cool ocean breezes and ceiling fans. As our coastal area cools considerably at night, it is seldom too hot. Most guests sleep comfortably with a light blanket, even in July and August.
