The staff was very helpful in getting us into a room on a very busy holiday weekend. They took our names and put us in a motel room when they had a cancelation. The room was a little out dated and there was no water pressure in the sink, but the price was very reasonable!
Our biggest disappointment was that we could not stay longer at Harris Point Cabins. The views from our cabin and campground were amazing. The cabin we stayed in did not have a shower but the short walk to the shower room was actually really nice as it provided more time to take in the view. Our stay was punctuated with a bald eagle landing on the tree feet from our cabin viewing point. Campground was very close to downtown which had some good restaurants and neat little shops. Of note, at the end of the road coming from the campground turn left instead of right and this will take you right downtown. Not a far distance the other way but a but more convenient. We can't wait to travel back to Maine and Harris Point Shore Cabins!
The property and facilities are fairly basic and the room fairly small but I stayed in a Motel room and it had everything I needed, the bed was comfortable, the Wifi worked, the receptionist was very helpful and it was great value. I had a great night's sleep in the peace and in the morning I spotted a large eagle at the top of a tree. The beautiful sunny weather no doubt helped but the views and atmosphere of the headland make this place absolutely ideal and if I had the time I could have stayed much longer than one night.
Just love the area. Going out fishing. Seeing the whales and even a whirlpool. Mom learned how to clean fish. We had spent a night at the motel close by the first time so actual 5 times. Of course I was in my early teens and now in my mid 60's. Would love to return some day.
Quiet little cabins and breathtaking views of the bay. Staff is exceptional. Quiet atmosphere, no hustle and bustle of other places. Prices are great, you cannot go wrong. I have returned year after year.
You can't beat the view right out the door of your cabin! There was an outdoor firepit to add to the enjoyment of the view. The Eagles were busy all day as were the seals, dolphins and whales. We were able to view the sods prior to the tide, from the cabin area. We had the ability to cook our meals in the cabin with a full size refrigerator with freezer, a gas stove. We had a cold water cabin. We used the clean and warm showers at the back of the garage of the owners home. This is the place to sit back and relax.
Hilarious test of how rough roughing it is. Fantastic location beautiful view and quaint but some what rustic cabin. The only set back was the double beds are separated by a wall but who needs to see the other person you are with during a couples weekend.
We stayed in the hotel, it is a no frills kind of place, but it gets the job done!! Do not stay here if you are looking for a luxury resort. Stay here if you are looking for a beautiful spot right on the ocean where the people are friendly and Downtown Eastport is close by. We were even treated to an eagle sitting in a tree above the site!!
When we come to Eastport, we stay here! Beyond belief setting... whales, seals, eagles and a million shore birds... You can see the fireworks from Eastport, if they're having them. Thereis a motel, cute cabins and campsites, right on the bay! And a lovely family runs it!
We were in Cabin #2, right on the water. The cabin was available only for 1 night and it was spectacular! There is nothing to beat the view, sitting on the porch and looking out into the water, really lovely. The cabin was certainly not luxurious but clean and had all the necessities. It was a wonderful find. The owners said there was no wii-fi in the cabin but we found the opposite to be true. However, throughout Eastport, you have pockets of no service.
