The Inn was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. Jane and Alden were friendly and knowledgeable of Freeport and Maine. The breakfast was delicious and quite filling. On-site parking was great. Very short walk to shopping and L.L. Bean (the greatest store in America). Highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Great place to stay. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Our hosts were great as well as entertaining with their black lab! We had great breakfasts and enjoyed the conversations with other guests. Would stay their again.

Room was well-appointed and bed was comfortable. Only problem was that air conditioning was set at 68 and the room got too cold. Breakfast was served when ever I was ready for it and was very good. I walked to nearby restaurants for my evening meal and walked to LLBean to shop the next morning.

From the moment we walked into Nicholson we felt right at home. Jane, Alden and Nick (the friendly black lab) were fantastic hosts. Our room was comfortable, clean, and airy. We enjoyed breakfast with the other guests and Jane provided us with a great history of the area including her relationship with L.L. Bean himself. We definitely recommend the Nicholson...

It's located near downtown and there is some traffic noise. Our room was warm but fans and air conditioning came to the rescue. Breakfast was a full hot breakfast and we enjoyed sharing our stories with the other couples. Our stay was fine but not "magic ". Some places have that little extra. A very nice couple hosts.

We just enjoyed our annual visit to the Nicholson Inn. It's the start of our adventures in Maine but it has become our most anticipated part of the vacation. As usual, the accommodations were impeccable; spotless, comfortable, quiet. And as expected, breakfast was fabulous! Alden and Jane are wonderful hosts. They're so helpful and knowledgeable, always willing to map out...

The Nicholson Inn is a charming B&B operated by delightful owners. You will not be disappointed in the accommodations and the breakfast. The rooms are neat and well appointed. We loved looking at the old pictures, some of them members of the owners' families. We were given great advice on local restaurants and even a very interesting local history lesson.

Given the reasonable cost and the fact that we couldn't book online, I was a bit concerned. I needn't have been. This was one of the best deals we had on our Maine vacation. Very clean and comfortable room, lovely hosts and great location. Definitely check this one out.

We initially planned a 2 night stay which quickly turned into a 4 night stay. Our room was extremely clean...neither my husband nor myself had any allergy issues. The bed was comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. However, what we enjoyed the most was the hospitality afforded us by the innkeepers. We have been to many bed and breakfasts but...
