We stayed one night in Freeport as we worked our way up the coast. The highlight is the owners themselves. They are experts in the best resaurants, lighthouses and stops down East. The breakfast was fantastic. Really well done.

Rooms are comfortable & clean. Breakfast was delicious! Innkeepers are friendly & helpful - loved our conversations. Inn is very well maintained. L.L. Bean is a short stroll away, as are very good restaurants. We loved our country drive to Casco Bay!

The Nicholson Inn is friendly and warm. Our room and bed were nice and we got great sleep for all three nights we were there. The inn is immaculate, including the landscaping outside. Be sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and lotion as none is provided. On the other hand, the huge bath towels were the softest I have...

We planned on visiting Freeport primarily to go to the LL Bean store but decided to stay overnight to avoid too many hours on the road in one day. What started out as simply a place to stay for the night actually became the highlight of our trip! The owners (Jane and Alden) could not have been nicer; the place...

Sometimes a place to sleep is defined by the setting. Sometimes by the rooms. Sometimes by the people. Freeport, Maine is a small town with big shopping. The Nicholson Inn is a 5 minute walk from LL Bean. It is a 5 minute walk from everything else. Freeport is small and concentrated. What Freeport is also close to are many...

Had a wonderful time at Jane and Alden's. Had to wonderfully cared for rooms. Perfect location right down the road from llbean and the other shops. We were treated like family and the breakfasts with the other guests were an exchange of cultural and personal experience. We liked everything about it and will surely be back.

We spent 3 nights at this Inn after Labor day and couldn't have picked a better location. It is centrally located on Freeport Main Street so shopping and dining is all walking distance. The rooms are spotless and have their own private showers and the food was outstanding. It was a quiet and relaxing vacation. Our hosts - Alden and...
