What an amazing and unique spot with extremely helpful and kind employees. We travelled to Portugal for a field hockey team training weekend. Therefore, our needs were specific and we had a lot of questions regarding the accommodations and possibilities. There was a lot of email traffic back and forth between myself and the people of Morada do Sol. They...

We had a great time with our class in Morada do Sol. We stayed with a group of 27 people in both houses. Everything was very clean and the garden was beautiful. Although a car is recommended, travelling by public transport and taxis works.

It was an amazing week at the house, we enjoyed the three apartments, the sport ground and the pool. Couldn't hope for anything more, sadly it is about an hour to Lisboa itself, but its not expensive at all. Cascais and Sintra, two beautiful towns are very close and a must see.

We are a group of 27 friends who use to organise holiday together one time a year. We stayed at Morada do Sol during a week last summer. After a warm arrival with clear explanations for key handover, there was always an easy communication with management of the property. The installations are very Clean and rooms are perfectly furnished. The...

We had an unforgettable time at Morada do sol. The estate is very nice with many well furnished bedrooms. The house-cleaning and airport transfer were well organised. Cascais and Sintra could easily be reached by bus or taxi and from there we could take the train to Lissabon. The beautiful Guincho beach was only a 45min walk away. A huge...

As a class we stayed at Morada do Sol for 1 week in total. We couldn't have hoped for anything better!! Seriously. The two houses provide more than enough space to give home to the 30 people of our class, the pool is big and cool to swim in, there is a playground to play football or volleyball on which...

We made a school trip to Portugal as a class of 27 people and spent a great time in Morada do Sol. The estate was really beautiful, the landscape was just breathtaking and it was an awesome experience overall. It was really pleasant that Cascais and Lisboa weren't really far away and could easily be reached by taxi and urban...

We had a fantastic stay at this house as we were there as a schoolclass with 27 people. At first sight, we were a bit worried as we were 50 km away from Lissabon. Altough we didnt have a car, we could get very easily to Lissabon, Cascais or Sintra by public transportation or taxi. The service by Sol Domus...

Very nice house. We had a wonderful stay at casa Morada do Sol. Every morning someone came to clean the mess we had made the night before and all the people from the house we had contact with were very very nice. The house is to be recommended to everyone, I would love to go back some day.

Great villa, great location! We rented the whole villa to have our wedding there and guests to stay for the whole week. We were 28 people and 8 children and we managed to fit in comfortably and had lovely time there. The gardens were a great setting for our special day. The staff were really helpful from arrival to leaving....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Morada do Sol is a large, enclosed property to let on a short term basis, in a rural setting near Cascais, Portugal, at the foot of the Sintra hills, 3 km from Guincho beach. This is an ideal location for nature lovers, being in the Sintra-Cascais protected National Park where building is very restricted. Lisbon and its airport are 30 minutes away. With a large swimming pool and beautiful grounds in a 5000m2 estate, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Lisbon and Sintra, Morada do Sol offers an ideal setting for a perfect holiday: peace and privacy amongst the beauty and tranquility of nature but with all you might want close by. The large, covered pool means the water is warm enough for you to swim from April to November although you are free to use it all year round; sliding doors allow you to catch a cooling breeze in the summer months. The extensive and well-kept gardens with their grand pine tree drive and many areas and spaces of different character have wonderful displays of colour for most of the year and the mature palm trees provide delightful summer shade. Help yourself to fresh tomatoes, lettuces, apples, pears, lemons, oranges, figs and pomegranates from the orchard and vegetable garden, all biologically produced. In winter, relax by a log fire and contemplate the view down a green and unspoilt valley to the sea, or the mystical Sintra hills behind. Enjoy the outdoor games area and sauna all year round. Morada do Sol has two villas in its grounds which can be let as 4 independent units. All units have their own private access and outside space. ... more   less
