Red Apple Campground is just great! The first time we went there, we asked about a taxi to town. The owner & his wife drove us into town to save us on taxi fare. Good thing, because that was literally the day before Uber became...More
This is a long overdue review but it's played on my mind that I never reviewed this wonderful campground especially when the owners went out of their way to make our first camping experience so memorable. As first time RVers we hadn't realised that it...More

Very nice park. Mostly seasonal/park models. My guess is that a lot of the residents winter in Florida and summer in Maine. Well manicured. Friendly relaxed staff. Spotless clean. Close to sights. Definitely not a party/get rowdy kind of campground.

I have stayed here many times and have NEVER had any problems with the facility or the owners and staff. This is a FIRST RATE location and everyone who stays here is treated like family and made to feel right at home when there. In fact, Dave and the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. When I ran out of propane, a loaner tank was provided. I only camp at two locations - this one in Maine and one in Vermont. We like the one in Vermont, but we LOVE the Red Apple!
