Kingfield is the edge of civilization, going north the experience changes immediately. Try this historic home if you are in the area or skiing at Sugarloaf. It has charm. The proprietors run the adjacent restaurant.

My husband and I found this B&B more than 15 years ago and we've kept coming back, again and again. Over the years, we've stayed at least a dozen times during the ski season and we've already booked our trip for next year. We've probably stayed in every room - they are all very comfortable and clean - and they...

A great winter getaway, even if you don't ski. Fantastic restaurant!! Clean, comfortable, cozy rooms. Super nice owners. You can't help but relax when you're there. It's true New England. I'd definitely go back.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write that nice review! We are glad you would like to come back, but don't limit your visit to winter. This area offers so much all year: hiking, biking, zip line rides, art galleries, antique shops, and amazing fall foliage!

We've been to 3 Stanley Avenue once or twice per year for the past 8 years and will keep coming back! Very clean, comfortable and quiet, and the hosts are wonderful. It's in a quiet little town but close to Sugarloaf ski area as well as the Bigelow range & the western Maine wilderness region. We hike/bike/kayak in the summer,...

This is a very comfortable, old-fashioned b and b in a charming rural town. We stayed here a couple of times 20 years ago, and came back traveling to the Maritimes. It's still much the same, very comfortable and clean, nicely furnished, and pleasant to stay at, at a reasonable price. The restaurant next door was a wonderful memory, but...

So glad to hear that you came back after so many years and still enjoyed our B&B. We pride ourselves with being a place where you can count on constant attention to detail both in our restaurant and our B&B. Our restaurant in now open to the public only in the ski season, altho we do open for private parties...

The room was clean and the price was right however breakfast was subpar and felt incomplete they served english muffins and eggs. The eggs weren't as cooked as I like them. There is no tv's in the rooms and no common area with a tv, books or games. So there is nothing to do but sleep. Dinner was really good...

We are so sorry that you had a disappointing stay with us. I will try to address your issues here: Our breakfasts are kept simple in order that we may keep our prices affordable. Over the years we have found that the organic granola, OJ, great coffee, and a rotating menu of scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes and french toast have...

It's cute, quite and very clean! My mom and I got a queen bed with a shared bath with the other rooms in the hall. Friday and Saturday and it felt like we had the whole house to ourselves! The bathrooms were clean and just what we needed. Claw foot tub in one and a shower in another! They make...

What a great B&B near Sugarloaf. It's literally half the price of other options around but more charming. Great rooms. Great breakfast. Great restaurant next door. And it's in the middle of town for easy access to other things. I was shocked when they still have availability with just a week's notice but oh so happy they did.

We stayed at this inn for 2 nights as a cheap alternative to more costly accommodations close to the mountain. It is in fact very cheap, but you get what you pay for. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, but there is no TV, no common living area for an acres ski glass of wine or tea, no...

It was a shame we did not make it clear that the common area for the B&B is in the restaurant living room where we have a TV and cribbage board. We also have a full bar where you may have an apre ski glass of wine, hot chocolate or cup of tea. Many guests have enjoyed this over the...

My wife and I decided on a last-minute foliage ride through western Maine in Sept 2014. But all the easy-to-find places to stay were either expensive, very expensive, or booked. We finally came across the Stanley Ave B&B, which was relatively inexpensive and had vacancies. Despite some initial misgivings because it was significantly less expensive than others anywhere nearby, it...
