Well we stayed here a year ago in a different cabin and it was ok. Came back this year to a different cabin and it smelled musty - bathroom door didn't shut, beds were uncomfortable, old 12 inch tv down low so you have a hard time seeing it, the little refidge door was backwards so it was hard to... We stayed in the Grey Cottage, and had fantastic views of all the was happening in the harbor. We had great seafood nearby and particularly enjoyed the Puffin Tour! The overall experience and the staff at the Gosnold, helped us fulfill our Down Maine dreams

The property is right on the water. In the morning we heard the Lobster boats leaving. In the afternoon we heard them returning. The Inn is next door to a working fishery where Lobsters arrive from the sea and distributed for local consumption. If you like the water this is a good place to visit. The room we had was... More

If you're the type of person who can't get over imperfections and likes the predictability of chain hotels, this place isn't for you. Nothing's fancy, but everything is clean and in good shape. We've been coming here for years and absolutely love it. New harbor is such a special place. Our favorite cottage is pilot. A comfortable bed, TV, kitchenette... More

This Inn is more like something in between an Inn and a motel. It was reasonable though, much cheaper than anything else in the area, and worth what we paid. The setting was fantastic looking right at the harbor. The staff was friendly. We would go back again.

We stayed there from Thursday to Sunday and paid for my daughters two night stay also... Wasn't bad we had the cottages so we could all hang out. But we did have two other couples who booked a room. Thought maybe they would do something special for us but .quite expensive with no shampoo conditioner etc... Breakfast was bearable. Would... More

The Gosnold says Maine with a capital M. While the Gosnold has cottages right on the water, we stayed in a cottage across the street to get a better rate. We could see the damn water and would walk across the street to be right there. And the delicious breakfast prepared by the friendly proprietor...Yum-Yum. We plan to return to... More

We found this Inn at the last minute. They are located right across the street from Shaw's Fish & Lobster and the Hardy Boat Cruise. They are also very close to the Pemaquid Light House. The Inn is comprised of a Main Hotel/House and several small cottages that are either free-standing or duplex style. They offer cottages both directly on... More

WE booked this place mainly becasue it was literally across the street frost the puffin tour we wanted to take, I had booked a room at the inn itself, but when I got there I realized that the outside stairway to the room was not going to work. It was also possibly the hottest weather they had ever had ad... More

We bring a photo workshop to this inn every year. It is perfectly located and has restaurants and ice-cream shops nearby. Sitting on a tradtional, working, fishing harbor, the seafood at the local restaurants is always super fresh. At the inn, there is a pier, places to sit out, a library, and WiFi, although on this part of the Maine... More
