Busy August Friday night, but this hotel is hidden away but right in town! Room was spacious, clean and pleasant, nice sofa, small bathroom. Have walked by this hotel dozens of times, and never knew how pleasant and reasonably priced it would be! Would stay there again in a minute!

The Betty Doon is not the nicest place you will ever stay. Its outdated and beach house style. However, you hands down cannot beat the price or the location. You are centered in the middle of downtown OGT and a minutes walk from the beach. The staff and owner are also the nicest people. I stay a couple times every...

We stayed at this hotel recently and came in after dinner to shower and relax before going to sleep. The DOOM had other plans for us! We experienced parties going on in just about every room around us. Music blaring, men walking around in towels and going in and out, and lazing about on their beds with all the lights...

stayed twice here this summer and both times were fine. The hotel is old and a little faded in parts but the rooms are comfortable and clean both my rooms had excellent bathrooms .The location of the hotel could not be better with a 5 minute walk to the excellent beach and it is situated right in the center of town...

We stayed at this property a couple of time before. Our last stay was this week-end (Sep 13th). Ok it is not fancy, but the price is right and it is clean. The place is run down, but clean. Our room had 2 double beds, the sheets were clean. The bathroom is also spotless, so are the towels. The place...

I will start off w/ the positives about this place which are the location and the price of the room. It is right in the center of town, so it's an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, & MaineStreet Nightclub. The price of the room was also very reasonable, but you get what you pay for. The problems started the...

If you don't mind a room that's a little small, a shower that is definitely a little primitive and squeaky stairs, then you won't mind the Betty Doon. It is definitely older, with knotty pine panelling and funny looking carpeting, but I can honestly say that it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on...

There is a difference between old New England charm and rundown...this hotel is rundown. Our fridge had old food stuck in the creases of the door, the shower had someones hair in the drain and the bedding had stains on it. The carpet is full of rips, the wood on the walls is coming apart and gave me a splinter....

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Betty Doon for a quick one-night stay. Great location, but there were issues that will prevent any future stays. Note: This was after staying at a rustic lakeside cabin with no insulation for over a week, so 'rustic' is not a problem. The quick list of issues includes (1) musty room, (2) broken...

The Betty Doon is within walking distance of the beach, and is right in the central area of Ogunquit. This is a somewhat old-fashioned place, rooms are not large, some are a bit cramped and oddly shaped where they have added bathrooms, are knotty-pine with plain but perfectly functional furniture. The beds are comfy, though, and the water pressure is...
