Central Maine is a scenic paradise with some of the country's loveliest towns and small cities. We are in our second full season at Balsam Cove and will be here next summer as well. It is a comfortable and lovely place on beautiful Toddy Pond and near everything without being so close to the traffic of Acadia or the horrors...

Our family recently spent a night at Balsam Cove Campground. It was fine, but once we added up all the miscellaneous costs for everything it seemed not such a good deal. If you visit the website, you get the appearance of well maintained, spruced up camp. The reality was everything from bathrooms to playground looked about 60 years old and...

We rented Trailer #5. It was Great!! The camper is private in the trees not too close to others but gets lots of sun. The lake is about 100 feet away. Camper was immaculate and very big with a great layout. 4 bunks in a back room with a big closet for clothes. Front room has a very comfortable queen...

This is a very unfriendly place. The new owners are just business people out to make a buck. Not hospitable at all..these people have no idea how to run a campground. The rental camps where a mess and the staff overworked as the owners sit on their butts.

Although the owners seem nice they also seemed overworked and stretched to the limit. There is something like 180 campsites and it's LOUD. Pretty rowdy folks that camp here, campsites are on top of each other and there are unsupervised kids everywhere. They allow wave runners and sitting down by the water was not peaceful not to mention the dog...

My husband and I love this camp ground. We camped there every major Holiday in 2013. We love the fact that we can bring our dogs. We actually are getting a seasonal camp site next summer with our friends getting a camp site next to us! This campground has it all--lake, beautiful campsites, great owners...the list goes on! Can't wait...

Plenty of activities for the kids, great playground. We camped down near the lake. Our daughter's family was with us and our granddaughter (6) LOVED being able to walk over and go fishing as much as she wanted. She also loved the playground. Bonfire every Saturday and many other activities throughout the summer that you can either take part in...

Great place managed very well by good people. Other campers were friendly. We stayed for a pot luck supper which was lots of fun. The campground has a beach non a lovely clean lake, boat dock, clean showers, a pavilion with food, and all kinds of great things for kids. It is dog friendly which made us very happy. We...
