We booked a set of rooms for a small wedding at Grants in September 2016. We were very familiar with the area but had never stayed at Grants before, and knew that it wasn't a very common venue for wedding type events. However, the staff truly went above and beyond to make it a perfect weekend. They put up extra...

Back at Grant's after too many years away. Appreciated the renovation and updating of the dining room and continued great service from the staff there. Food was as good as we remembered with the addition of more modern dishes along with the usual great meals we came to expect. Stayed during a time when the camp is not as busy...

I stayed at Grants after talking to a friend who visited years ago. Let me first say everyone on staff at Grants was kind and helpful. What the public should know is that despite promises from the owners (see the replies to critical reviews) few improvements have been made. The owners should stop telling people that such improvements have been...

I would say "Disappointed" is the appropriate title for this post. It is always disappointing as an owner to hear feedback like this via social media. We are pleased to hear our staff provided you with good customer service and do hope you visit us again.

I traveled to Grants Camps with my family for vacation in July 2015. The cabins are old, filthy shacks in desperate need of repair, littered with cobwebs, flies, and other insects. Beware - It is no place for small children that is for certain. Dog poop is everywhere because the staff allows their dogs to roam freely and they don’t...

Ouch! While we understand everyone has their own perceptions and opinions and this one is yours, we are disappointed to see this disclosed here. We admit 2015 was a difficult year at camp and are encouraged to note we are 100% sure many of the issues you described are already being addressed in 2016. Specifically with the hiring of a...

Amazing Place and Staff. If you are looking for a true Maine experience this is the place to go. Great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. There are activities such as fishing, canoeing, looking for a Moose, listening to the loons or you can just relax. I can't wait to go back. I plan on making this a yearly...

Just received my annual Grants Camps newsletter. It reminded me what a great time our family enjoyed last summer and how many wonderful memories we’ve collected over the years. I’m convinced we’ve started a tradition with our kids at this special place to last many generations to come. As much as I’ve enjoyed the hiking, fishing and long walks…..I’ve cherished...

We've been going to Grant's Camps for several years and have always enjoyed our stay. The owners, John and Carolyn, and their staff are very helpful and friendly. The rustic cabins are clean and cozy, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Delicious home cooked meals are served in the dining room with a view of the lake. There...

My family and I have have vacationed at Grant's Camps a few times over the years and it is a little slice of heaven on earth. My husband is an avid fly fisherman and I am an avid hiker. We spent five days at Grants in September as part of their Fly Fishing School opportunity. It was a delightful and rewarding time--not only for the fishing instruction but the site, staff, food and genuine welcoming attitude of the Camps. Our instructor, Maine Master Guide Tony F and Certified Fly Fishing Instructor, was the real highlight of the time--skillful, organized,...
