Ledges by the Sea has been a family owned and operated motel for somewhere around 50 years. Constantly upgraded with all the expected conveniences the rooms are large. Impeccably clean, with every detail well coordinated. My husband and I booked a deluxe king room -- luxurious bed linens, pillow-top mattress, faux fireplace, flat screen TV with DVD player and a...

Having just stayed at The Ledges for 3 days, we enthusiastically recommend it to other travelers. The location makes Camden, Rockland and Rockport easily accessible. The room was very clean and the amenities were better than most with refrigerator, table and Keurig coffee maker. It was very quiet for being on Route 1 and the view was beautiful. We also...

These cottages are just a couple miles from Camden - great service, nice balcony overlooking croquet, lawn and Bay. Will definitely stay here when next we are in the area. Room small but adequate and had small fridge & microwave & Keurig Coffee maker. Breakfast was delightful on patio above office overlooking the Bay.

The rooms are so clean and spacious. The landscaping is amazingly beautiful. It's obvious when you drive onto the property, management takes great pride of their "home away from home". Our room was beautifully decorated with a lighthouse/nautical theme. And, it just so happened we were vacationing in Maine specifically to visit the lighthouses. Perfect match! We sat outside on...

My only complaint is I wish we would've had a longer stay here! The room was spacious with a sink in the bathroom and a sink outside the bathroom which is always nice. We had a fridge in our room along with a Keurig Coffee maker which was nice for coffee in the evening (Decaf was provided) as well as...

We have been there 3 times in the past 9 months. It's centrally located to Camden & Rockland attraction. It's just a few miles from the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland which displays Wyeth paintings among other notables. There's also a very large Rockland Antique as you enter Rockland from Rockport. The motel is well maintained & very modern. The rooms...

My husband and I have stayed at the Ledges several times on our way Downeast. This past August we stayed for three nights- it was our base as we visited Monhegan, Rockland, Rockport, and Camden. Lovely, clean, and quiet with a super breakfast. I do wish Ledges would bring back the webcam on their hotel site- I miss being able...

We chose Ledges By The Bay because of the recommendations on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. All rooms have a bay view from a small balcony. Rooms were clean and roomy. This is close to all area attractions.

Our room had a great view over the bay which we utilized to watch the sun rise in a very spectacular manner. One surprise was the continental breakfast which was much more than we expected. The hosts even had a pair of binoculars on the upper deck so guests could watch boats on the bay. Our room was very clean...

Ledges by the Bay is a travelers dream hotel. Beautiful views, immaculately clean rooms with comfortable pillows and bedding, Keurig coffee and frig in room, balcony for relaxing, and a nice breakfast room with good choices for every taste. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and well kept. I only wish we had more than one night to enjoy...
