I stayed here over the summer. Overall, it's not a bad place for vegetarians. The breakfast was good and Janet was a pleasant host. As a new B&B owner, I can understand challenges. We had 2 complaints from staying here 1. I love animals. I have had several cats, and many dog in my life, etc. I loved seeing animals...

I stayed at Elm Cottage this past July when I attended a friend's wedding in nearby Rockport, Maine. The B&B is a comfortable and clean place to stay. Janet, the owner, is a wonderfully welcoming person and a fantastic cook. While she is a vegan and only cooks this way, the breakfasts on both mornings were delicious! The house is...

My husband and I just had a wonderful weekend staying at the Elm Cottage. It is located right in the heart of Searsport which is a perfect place being convenient to both Bucksport and Belfast. We like to go antiquing and there are just a ton of places along the route well worth going. Our room had a great view...

Rarely do I give 5 stars: this place is one that merits them, it stands above and beyond most other places we have stayed. The house and gardens are truly a labor of love. The rooms are immaculate and peaceful, wood floors, wood furnishings, soothing water fountains, a natural decor all around. The food is delicious - all vegan, all...

My husband and I spent one night in July at Elm Cottage after a trip to the maritime provinces of Canada. We chose Searsport because it was advertised as vegan and for its location. The cottage is lovely, clean and comfortable and Janet makes the place so welcoming. We enjoyed her conversation, her kindness, her love of animals and her...

This two room gem advertises itself as a vegetarian/vegan B&B. This should not dissuade the meat-eaters if fresh, organic, innovative, and just plain delicious matters. You won't gp hungry and you'll recognize everything offered in the diverse breakfasts served. The inn is a stone's throw from US Route 1 and Penobscot Bay in the historic midcoast town of Searsport, about...

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Elm Cottage-- we only wish we had stayed longer. When we arrived, Janet welcomed us with tea and zucchini bread as well as activity and restaurant recommendations. We stayed in the gardenview room, which was large, clean, comfortable, and cozy. We used the free wifi to plan our days and looked...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience briefly staying at the Elm Cottage, a vegan / vegetarian Bed & Breakfast in Searsport, Maine (near Belfast). Meeting the proprietor Janet felt like getting back in touch with a long lost, caring relative. We were extremely late to arrive, and she waited up for us and even called to check...
