Although staying in Southwest Harbor was recommended to us (it really is charming and quiet), we found this B&B on our own, which was our good fortune! The host was welcoming and informative, and cooked breakfasts with more than enough good food to eat. Being able to relax on the front porch and see part of the harbor with picturesque...

Thank you for a very nice review, Dianna. We're obviously glad you had a good time, and it was nice that you mentioned the desirability of the Town as well. We do try to be sure that the "quietside" is just that, and folks seem to like it that way. Thanks again for staying with us. Marge & Don

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lodge-ings for three nights. Don and his wife were very kind and welcoming. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. Don provided numerous maps and guidebooks for us to use during our time on Mount Desert Island. He was also able to answer many questions about where to access hikes,...

A fantastic stay with a wonderful host. The location is absolutely perfect. You are close to a number of great trails and restaurants on the quiet side of the island, and the ~25 minute drive to the other major attractions goes by fast. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a private bathroom and shower. Don was a great...

Great little B and B. On the quiet side of the island, Don is super nice and helpful. Only 25 min to Acadia. Room was nice, easily fit a third bed and we all slept great. Breakfast was good. Yummy homemade blueberry muffins made by his wife. Loved it.

My husband and I headed to Acadia National Park for the first time and decided to stay on the quiet side of the island. Southwest Harbor was a perfect location, it had a great little downtown area with yummy places to eat and wasn't far from the main park area. Our stay at the Lodge-ings was wonderful, Don (our host),...

I stayed here with a friend during our girls' trip to Maine and highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Our room was comfortable with a nice shower/private bath that was much-needed after our busy days hiking/biking in Acadia. Don and Marge are very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them during our stay. They were quick to help provide directions,...

Don and Marge Lodge (yes, the B&B is a play on their last name) run a nice business. The rooms are clean, beds firm, and the price is hard to beat for MDI. Don prints off a breakfast menu each day and each guest can order whatever they want for the following breakfast, as well as specify what time you...

We stayed in The Lodge-ings for 3 nights and wished we could stay longer. The B&B has comfortable, impeccably clean rooms, inviting library, cozy porch with water view to the bay, but the highlight is definitely the gourmet breakfasts. Don does all the cooking, and Marge does all the baking, together they do a magnificent job. The room is packed...

We stayed at Lodge-Ings over the Independence Day weekend. The room was cozy and nice with the view of the harbor. It is at a great location away from the crowd of Bar harbor but close to Acadia national park. Breakfast was nice with lot of options to choose from.
