Had a great stay there, the house was built in the 1750's and has so much character. Jan was a great hostess and I looked forward to her breakfasts every morning. Nice comfortable room with a private bath and a great view of the property. Would stay there again.

One night in July. Quick getaway. Quiet, peaceful & lovely. Our room was well appointed and very clean. Bathroom was a private bath down the hall. Breakfast was outstanding. Fresh berries, eggs, fresh bread, bacon and sausage. Jan, the owner made us feel very much at home and comfortable. Off the beaten path. Beautiful natural surroundings. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been 5 times over the last 7 years, and it's always a special and wonderful experience. The house is gorgeously restored and yet very comfortable and private. We usually stay in an upstairs bedroom which has a working fireplace and private bath. The living room also has a working fireplace. The lake and marsh next...

The Blue Skye Farm B&B is located a few miles south of Waldoboro, Maine. The building goes back to 1774. It does show its age here and there and that is part of its charm. The grounds are extensive, but unfortunately, we did not have time to explore them. I am not usually a fan of B&Bs, but felt quite...

My husband and I stopped here for a night en route to Acadia National Park and are so glad we did - we'll definitely be back. Jan and Peter were the best of hosts - helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The historic building is beautifully maintained and our room was very comfortable. We loved the diverse and ample breakfast,...

Blue Skye Farm is a lovely laid-back place. We were here first when it had just opened, almost 15 years ago, and this is our 4th time here. Located on 100 acres of woods, wild flowers and pond, this 250 year-old home has been made into a most welcoming inn by owner Jan Davidson and her husband. Accommodations are spotless...

Our second visit to Blue Skye Farm confirmed our love of this wonderful inn. The handsome old building is beautifully restored and maintained, our room was spacious and lovely, and the fields and woods beckoned. This is a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Maine coast.

Jan is a delight and a very skilled cook, two traits one treasures in an innkeeper, especially when you are the guest, which I was. Breakfast was Greek yogurt with granola, fruit and nuts, (delicious), PLUS the most exquisite marmalade french toast. The French press coffee was especially appreciated. Jan has the most friendly and interesting little Jack Russell, my...

This is a wonderful B&B, located in an historic and beautifully maintained 18th century house. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, the common areas were thoughtfully provided with books (including a great browsing library), and the kitchen was available for guests to use (except at breakfast) since the innkeepers live in a separate building. Wifi throughout - the screened porch...

We loved this B&B. We were traveling to Acadia, but stopped for the night to shop at Lie Nielsen Tool Company. We got the last available room, which was also the lowest priced room. It was the L shaped room. It was extremely cozy. The house had many books to browse and a wonderful sun porch to read on.

“I booked the last available room. It was the lowest priced room, but it awesome. Extremely cozy. Loved it. I also loved browsing all books in the various libraries throughout the house and reading out on the sun porch. I loved this place. Waldoboro is not the most exciting town, but this property was wonderful. We were visiting Lie Nielson Tool Store on our way Acadia.”

“I saw one other room that was equally as nice as my own, and imagine all rooms to be similar. However, if you are super sensitive to road noise, you'll want to ask if there is a room that isn't facing it.”

“The king size bed has a private bathroom down the hall so we had to put shorts on to use the bathroom but the king size bed was well worth it. There is a queen size bed with a an en suite bathroom on the second floor we might try next visit but hate to lose the king bed.”
