The Old Winterport Commercial House Bed and Breakfast is an excellent place to stay if you are coming to Winterport, its neighboring towns, or even if you are visiting Bangor/Brewer. Each room is furnished with an exacting eye and provides a unique and comfortable experience. The proprietors are friendly and very accommodating. My wife and I have stayed here three...

This was our second stay at the Old Winterport Commercial House, and it was just as lovely as the first time we stayed there. The room was comfortable and beautifully appointed with antique furniture. Each morning we were treated to a fabulous breakfast that included, fruit, omelet, bagels and home made muffins. There were also assorted cereals to choose from....

On a recent drive from Boston to New Brunswick, we stopped for a night at the Old Winterport Commercial House. What a hidden gem! Ann, our host, could not have been more gracious (and she cooked a wonderful crustless quiche for breakfast, too). Our room, the Frankfort Room, was large and comfortable, at the back of the house so it...

Very comfortable and very friendly. Some extra touches like drinks in the fridge plus coffee available at all times. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and a cooked course (we had quiche and French toast). All in all a great place and good value.

A friend and I enjoyed Ann's hospitality while visiting Maine and Acadia National Park. We found the house to be delightful, and all the rooms we saw were quite charming. It was neat to stay in a place with so much history and antiques surrounding you. Ann served delicious breakfast every morning and was very helpful in pointing out local...

We were looking for a b&b on our arrival to Maine and we found a gem! Ann was a great hostess and the Penobscot room was a comfortable retreat. We enjoyed a great dinner at The Bacon Tree just down the road (walking distance) and even a game of pool at the Pub in the Port just across the street....

Our stay was wonderful! We stayed 3 nights in the blueberry room and we were very happy with our stay. Ann was terrific! She made a wonderful breakfast every morning and even tried to help us find a rental for when we move in September. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us tons of wonderful ideas for...

Last August we were headed to Nova Scotia to see the tides in the Bay of Fundy, the Atlantic coast and the Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax. But since the Interstate runs so close to the end of the Appalachian Trail atop Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park we reserved a night at Katahdin Stream in a lean-to. We...
