Very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, newly redone. The first thing you notice when you walk through the door is the slider on the other end leading to your own glass front railing balcony overlooking the ocean. The AC worked great, but we turned...More

Hello! At high tide, the water does come up to the seawall at most parts. You are able to sit on the stairs or the rocks in some places, but much of the time the sand does disappear. We are always happy to provide you with tide charts so you can plan your beach time!
There are some shells on this beach - you will often see clam and mussel shells, and also snail shells in various colors and patterns. Occasionally you will find the odd sand dollar or piece of sea glass as well!

We took a wheeled suitcase up the stairs no problem. However our bag was small since we were only staying for the weekend. You can always make a few trips. There is designated parking for the hotel right in back, which is where you'd get in for the rooms in the main building there is a wide set of stairs from the parking area that brings you to the restaurant level at the rear, outdoor bar area. Then it is just a couple of flights up from there. Once you get to the first level up by the rooms, you're in the main hallway that connects they rooms. You can leave bags there as you empty your luggage from the car. If there's more than one of you, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Have a great time! We've been trying to book this hotel a few more times this summer and it has been sold out every time.
