This is a great place to stay. The Inn is beautiful, the rooms inviting, and the tasty breakfasts fuel you for a day of seeing the area, including Old Ellicott City. The inn-keepers are great folks. The house historic. Book it if you can.

Yes. It has a coil bed spring and then I put a down mattress on top of that before I put on the sheets and comforter. I had one young lady tell me that it was like "sleeping on a cloud!" I am not sure I would go that far... More

All the rooms do indeed lock. The Terrace Room is actually attached to the inn itself, although it is a newer addition. We stayed at the Wayside Inn between Christmas and New Year's Day and the Terrace room... More
All the rooms do indeed lock. The Terrace Room is actually attached to the inn itself, although it is a newer addition. We stayed at the Wayside Inn between Christmas and New Year's Day and the Terrace room is a very cozy place for breakfast or just reading at night. I hope this helps.
