Detailed Reviews
Avoid rooms 122 and 124. There is a door separating these two rooms which may as well be a paper-thin curtain. Ghetto trash neighbors with dogs and cats were blasting hip hop music at 2 am, so loud like I never heard in a hotel in my entire life. I complained twice to the front desk. I overheard a polite request for them to quiet down. I don't know what they said the second time but their dogs, TV and discussions continued till 5 AM. We requested either a new room or a refund. The Indian man at the front desk promised a new room at 10:30. At approximately 2 PM I was able to get the new keys. Our plans that day were ruined. We went upstairs to the new room and it was quieter, but we saw a live roach wander about in the bathroom. I asked politely if we can have any compensation for this trouble and the man glibly said "of course". A few days later I see a generic 10% coupon for a stay in the next few months; I can get as much showing my AAA card. I wrote to them about this and have yet to get a response. I'm sorry but I expected more. Those commenting below appear to be friends of the owner and management. Area is perfect but judge for yourselves if this is the vacation and treatment you want to risk by booking here.

I reserved four rooms for four employees and on day one they wanted out. I was sent videos of filthy rooms and crawling roaches. Needless to say, I told them to leave and I found them other accommodations. Now I'm battling with the hotel for a refund of the nights we will no longer be using. Avoid this place at all costs.

Hello Brian, Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your recent experience at our Red Roof Inn. You've indicated that your stay was less than ideal due to insects that you've reported. We value you as our guest and can assure you this is not reflective of our usual standards. Truly horrible. This hotel should not be suggested on sites.
Dirty room, noisy neighbors with dog.
Smell of marijuana in the room.
Everything is falling apart.
The only positive point, the shuttle between the hotel and the port.
The facade is very beautiful... for the rest, it's a shit hole with several people living there all year round.
Summary in one word: HORRIBLE

Well-kept with free shuttle to/from BWI airport. Both shuttle driver and front desk clerk very friendly and got me checked in early. Next to a large new Giant grocery store and numerous quick service restaurants (Chipotle, Panda, Panera, etc.). Older motel to be sure but it has decent sized rooms, there’s an elevator, and the furnishings are the latest Red Roof variation. My “superior” room had laminate floors, a refrigerator, microwave, and safe and was located on the back side overlooking an attractive courtyard. Pool had closed for the season but appeared to be larger than most motel pools. Some economy lodgings have long term guests using public corridors as their personal space; I did not see any of that here and felt safe and relaxed. Bed was very comfortable, and AC unit had a fan option to bring in fresh outdoor air.

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for the past few months . every time I come here . The front desk manager Norma always goes above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Thursdays and Sunday every time I see her she's working very hard to make sure everyone as satisfied as possible with their room and everything that involves their stay here. George who also has a great attitude and will go to whatever length escape to fix whatever issue or problem may come up these two workers I look forward to seeing every time I come to stay I hope that their hard work can be rewarded thank you very much sincerely Jessica fi

We booked a weekend stay Friday, 8/11 through Monday, 8/14 and it was a horrible experience. The check in process went well, but that was the best part of the stay. We were assigned room 133 which should be taken out of service because it has a horrible roach issue. Not to mention the microwave oven almost caught fire while we heated up our subs. It was old, missing knobs and there was a hole inside which ignited the paper. it should have been taken out of service before our stay. Had I not been standing there, the whole thing would have went up in flames. We immediately notified the front desk and they said there wasn't anything that could be done until the following morning. Thankfully, the neighbors we nice enough to heat up our food for us. The first night once we turned the lights out the roaches came out. We called the front again and told them quite a few roaches were seen, there response was they were fully booked so they couldn't move us that evening. I was exhausted from working all day and driving from VA so I just didn't have the energy to find another place to stay so late.
The next morning I went to the front desk to get additional towels and washcloths and to discuss the roach and microwave issue in person. I was told they would send someone to our room to spray and replace the microwave. I wanted another room, but was told there weren't any available. I'm not sure another room would have helped since roaches seem to travel from place to place, but the should have been more accommodating. We accepted the offer to spray which turned out to be a huge mistake. The first guy, who was nice came to replace the microwave. After it was replaced we didn't have any further issues.
Much later that afternoon another guy came to spray. He was nice as well and apologized for the issue. He said with so many people living there, they have a hard time with roaches. I am a Homeless Advocate so once I learned there were so many people living there I tried to manage with the room hoping the spray would work. It was only temporary for me, I would be able to leave and go to my comfortable home, but they had to stay. That decision ruined my weekend, but all I could think about was the little boy and his family who lived right next door.
Sunday, we couldn't take it anymore, the spray wasn't working so we went to Walmart to purchase some spray. Nothing was keeping the roaches away so I'm pretty sure the place has to be infested and will need professional Pest Control Service to keep people healthy. I know 2 stars doesn't mean much; however, cleanliness and the health of the guests should be a top priority.
It's finally check out day. We were told the Manager Andy Patel would be available upon check out. When I asked to speak with him concerning the roach issue, the young lady left the front desk, when she returned she claimed she went to call Andy, but she had a phone right there so that was odd. I believe he was there, but did not care enough about a guest experience to talk with me in person. She was authorized to provide a 50% discount to our cheapest night.
I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here and will be contacting the Health Department to see if there is anything that can be done. If Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County or any other area in Maryland is using this place to house the Homeless, they need to visit and see the conditions people have to live in while staying here. There are many small children with their families and roaches are known to carry diseases. The Red Roof Inn franchise should not allow this location to carry their name, it's a disgrace!
Please excuse any typos.
