Definitely not a Hilton hotel . The place was as clean as to be expected it's a very very old building. Had an issue with not enough plugs to charge electronics. Bed was very comfortable but had to get all new pillows for they were flat. Shout out to Johnathan for going above and beyond looking for good pillows for me. Staff was extremely nice. We asked for a quite area room we were on the top floor. It was quite but there is no elevator only for luggage so every time I had to go to the room I climbed 3 flights. I did not know that at the time of booking. Bathroom is tight and no counter space for us woman who like our stuff out for easy access. Sink is in the bedroom right next to the bed which was very strange and no night stand. It is right on the boardwalk and the view from the 2 decks with rocking chairs is wonderful. 1 night stay was plenty for me. Room needs updating.

I just cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. The rooms have wooden shutter doors so you can leave your windows open and enjoy fresh air while still having privacy and locked door. The rooms are very quaint and on the small side but so well kept and clean. Be sure to request a room with a refrigerator if you require one as not all rooms have them. The front desk couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. You feel valued as a guest by them all. There is an old elevator that they use to take your luggage up and down for you. This is operated only by staff. The front porch sits up over the boardwalk with plenty of seating to allow you to rest and enjoy the activities down below. Walking in from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk you immediately feel the calmness of the hotel. Gorgeous sitting area on main floor. The seagulls do roost on the roof so there is a possibility of them eating or dropping food on vehicles in the parking lot below. There were babies on the roof during our stay. You can park and walk to almost everything you would need from this location.

What a great find! After much research we found this historical gem through Trip Advisor forum. It was less expensive than other more modern hotels on the boardwalk! Rooms were large, with refrigerator and microwave to help cut cost on meals. The staff was so friendly and helpful! Despite a several block power outage for hours, I gave this place a 5! We even caught the OC fireworks display from the deck that overlooks the boardwalk! There is an quaint old elevator, nice pool, and beautiful historic decor! Try it, you’ll love it!

Air conditioner rattled loudly all night. Out of the 4 lights in the room, only 1 light worked (the 1 of the 2 on the ceiling). Very few electrical outlets, none near beds, so could not plug in the bedside lamp without an extension cord that fortunately we had brought for our computer. The 4th lamp was broken. We have been here numerous times over the years, but this may be our last year. Been here 2 out of 4 nights, will ask for another room today. House staff and cleaners were cooperative and friendly. Room was clean. Good location. Great huge deck with rocking chairs overlooking the ocean. We had asked for a handicap room originally, but there was SNAFU. Elevator was a life saver. More later...

This is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at anywhere . Right on the boardwalk made it great clean pool and parking included . The only thing That would have made it perfect would have been coffee , no coffee pots in the rooms or in the lobby There is no where to get any coffee before am around there at all :( the hotel is beautiful. No cigarette smoking in the rooms but people are smoking weed anyway that should be addressed . All n all we will stay here again . If you never have been there and have trouble going up and down stairs this isn’t the place to go, the 3 flights of stairs You have to walk up and down constantly is tiring .

This is one of the few places left in Ocean City with historic character. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but they've been updated where it counts (air conditioning, renovated bathrooms) while still preserving the original wood and old charm. The deck is an awesome spot to relax and people watch, and the staff was extremely friendly. I would stay here again.

I have stayed here a few times and it just keeps getting worse and worse. They have me sign a waiver I won't smoke in my room but yet the halls are filled with smoke from cigarettes and weed. Also beware if you call and have questions they may not answer you truthfully. Never ever again. Horrible. I'd rather pay more for a place that is better maintained. The cleanliness has also gone downhill.

This hotel is amazing.. in the current rush-rush world we live in its nice to find somewhere that takes you back to a time when people went on vacation to just RELAX. This hotel has clean, classic, rooms that are a reminder of simpler times. Amazing views of the ocean, and a deck full of rocking chairs just above the boardwalk that give you a chance to people watch.. Plenty of parking and withing walking distance of great food and lots of entertainment.

This hotel has that charm you won't find in any other hotel in ocean city. The location could not be more perfect, right in the beginning of the boardwalk and the pier. The staff is prompt and courteous. The pool isn't huge, but we come there for the beach and ocean! Super cool place to stay!
