The staff was nice, arrived early but was able to get my parking pass for the day, came back to check in at 3pm and the room was a mess, not cleaned, was told we had to wait for wash cloths it was still being washed, TV didn't work, someone did come right up to help, but it was not a comfortable stay.
I prefer the local mom and pop stays. This location was basic, but not in a negative. We had a poolside Room with double bed and couch. Room was clean although small was inviting and more than enough room for two adults. Staff was extremely helpful and always present. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. This place is located approximately one block from the boardwalk. So we were able to go have drinks dinner and go for a walk and stay close by, we never moved our car. There are two breakfast diners close by in walking distance also. 😋 in the evening you could sit outside the room, chairs and small table are provided, and take in the night breeze. All In all we were comfortable and felt attended to. Will definitely be booking again.
Great staff and nice atmosphere. I will be back to stay. Everyone is still working hard to improve the quality of the property. It’s a great place to spend a week or longer with out breaking your pocket book.
Well let's start from the very beginning. I called to book for a week in August but I called in July told them the dates I wanted and that your website special was get a night free during the week. So I told court I wanted monday-friday with Friday being my free night. He took my card information told me he would get it book I should recieve a confirmation email.. i waited 3 days still no confirmation, so I called back just to find out he NEVER ran it through.. then proceeded to tell me I don't know if the special is still going on, I said what do you mean it's on your website.. well we finally got that squared away and booked I left everything go at that.. I did the book now pay later option remaining balance of $300 left owed, and told them I would pay the rest upon showing.. The day before we left for the beach I went to my bank to find my account was a -$379 dollars. I was mindblowned. Found out it was because the burgundy inn had processed my payment after they weren't suppose too. On top of processing it added an extra $79 to my bill without any explanation. Not to mention I had to pay a $40 overdraft fee because of them not paying attention to my booking. Upon arrival Monday afternoon, we found we had to wait hours to have our room cleaned from previous renters. Just to find the room was NASTY! Sand all over the floors dirty sheets, dirty bathroom, I literally had to go ask for a broom and new sheets and went and bought cleaning supplies to clean myself. They're cleaning staff are horrible! Two nights into our stay we discovered our babies are getting sick from the mold in the air conditioner. Ontop of it the upstairs bathroom leaked into ours leaving our belongings and floor wet. I even found the floor caving in right outside our bathtub. I immediately went to the office to mention the leaking as it's destroying our belongings it took someone an hour to come look. LITERALLY just looked at it and asked how long we were staying we said til Friday, the guy had said ill fix it when you guys leave... are you kidding you can't fix it now? Give us another room? But did offer some money back. Which we NEVER received. I even went back to the office and talked to the manager Megan Megan she told me that he was taking care of it.. clearly not as we dealt with it all week and had to use a million towels daily to soak all the water up. 🙄 Day 3 into our stay just shy of 10 o'clock we discovered our toilet is backed up and not working, ontop of the leaking upstairs bathroom into ours and the dirty room.. so I called to have something done, ofcourse no answer because they're CLOSED and had no one there on-call to fix things. We had to go that ENTIRE night/morning til 9am when someone came in to finally get to say something to fix it. No one came til about 3 hours later... at this point I'm fuming with everything that has happened from booking to the 3rd night in. Fourth night in same thing happens again with the toilet, so again had no bathroom to use the entire night. We were so mad we just packed up and ended our family vacation thursday late night early due to the horrible expierence this year. Thus was by far the WORST expierence/stay ever! This would of been the 4th year of going there. And none of the staff or managers cared like they say they do. I'll be looking into a new hotel/apartment to book for next year.…
Loved the close proximity to the beach/boardwalk. Plenty of restaurants and things to do within walking distance! Nice pool. Very small rooms with privacy issues-you could see through the blinds from outside even with the blinds pulled down. The rooms could be a little bit cleaner but for the price, it was worth it for a cheap trip to ocmd on a budget!
Highly overpriced and the bathroom is so dirty that I actually preferred using a public restroom instead of the one in the apartment. The whole apartment is run down, dirty, smelly and all the bad things. I wonder how in the world they even have a license to rent this dump, I would rate it -1 stars if I could
This is the worst hotel I've ever had the displeasure of staying in. I travel year round for work, pleasure and competitive team sports. I understand beach hotels are often dated but this place was old and dirty. The room was asolutely filthy when we arrived and I spent 45 minutes cleaning. Luckily I had some windex wipes in my car because no paper towels, rags or wash cloths were provided in the room. I feel like I should mail an invoice cause I left it way cleaner than it was when I arrived. Some brown liquid was thrown all over the bathroom wall from above the toilet to the sink. It had run down the walls and dried. I wiped it right off but there is no excuse for the maids not doing this before we were given keys. There was sand all over the floor(I had to ask for a broom and sweep upon arrival) the counter and tv stand were crusty with the prior people's food. It looked as if they made the beds and did nothing else between check out and my check in. There was a stove with a mini pot and pan, no lid, no utensils, plates or bowls. I had to waste time and money going to the store to get all these things to prepare food. I guess in hindsight it was less time in the bates motel. The drawers had food crumbs in them and the sink cabinet smelled of mildew and mold was visible. The stove barely got hot so even after buying supplies I microwaved food in a plastic bag. The mini fridge knobs were broke off and the fridge froze all the food (frozen solid leftover pizza anyone?) and our cereal milk. Even after cleaning my 11 year old child begged me at 1130 pm to sleep in our car (yes it was that bad). The wall had a hole, covered by a board that stuck out from the wall. One wall was so water damaged that my kids called it the wavy funhouse wall. The door had a gap large enough to see through. We were supposed to stay for two nights but when we arrived back from the boardwalk the 2nd night, the smell of marijuana was so strong in our room (from the vents)that I feared one of my kids would catch a contact. The smell wasn't just in my room and clearly nobody cared. I drove 4 hours home in the middle of the night. I wouldn't stay here again for free! There is no dish soap to do the dishes and they supply nothing but a little bar soap. The pool is tiny and was extremely crowded with over 20 people in it. The only positive at all about this place,is that staff are nice.…
Quick trip to OC, booked this because of location. That's all that was good about the place. Room was tiny and dirty, smelled musty, rug disgusting, bed small and stuck in a nook against a wall. No table or chairs, no blow dryer, no coffee maker. Nasty couch in room. Door to another room unlocked in our room. Please spend a little more and get better.
Set up a trip last year was in August of 2018...... This was by far the worse experience in a hotel I ever encountered by far..... I was referred by Expedia, thinking this was a decent and economic way to book a room, Oh was I wrong, you learn over time and ventures on what to do and not do in the future. I booked 2 rooms, one for me and one for a friend and his family....... The booking part was fine, first night was fine... SECOND NIGHT WAS THE PROBLEM...... While I was in my room at around 9pm I was watching tv, I heard a noise on the side of my bed, which would be more towards the middle of the room... It was the door knob tryin to turn, now this door is the one that adjoins another guest room on front side of building.... As I was hearing this noise, first thought I thought another guest was breaking into or trying to get into my room.....Anyways I first moved a end table against the door, then I moved myself to the couch and then proceeded to call the front desk as I was doing this I could hear the door knob turning more as if they unlocked my door and then I could see my door inching open, so while this was going on I was telling front desk of my issue, their response oh that’s just maintenance, I said what are they doing, they said their doing work on the ajointing room,I then asked why were they trying to get in my room, they had no answer......From that point on I stayed on couch including at nigh..... When it was time to checkout I again addressed my concerns with front desk, I asked them why this happened and expressed how my stay got effected by this, and went on asking them if they can compensate me anything for my unsatisfactory stay, their response management will give you a call..... To this day never received a call, only reason in my belief I received an apology is because when I filed with the Better Business Bureau they wanted to try to clean up their image.... What would I do different if I knew now what the outcome would be and what type Of unresponsive people they are, for one never would’ve stayed, two if I stayed there I should’ve called the POLICE instead front desk, filed a report, it’s one thing if it was another guest breaking into my room, but their own staff, and I was told they just talked to staff on the rules of dos and donts.....that’s it...... I would not recommend this place to anyone, I would never stay at this place again, I value my privacy security and furthermore would’ve been nice to have been treated better the first time not in future stays who in their right mind would ever give a place like this another chance after having an experience like mine.......CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD........…
Pros: Amazing staff - every person we dealt with there was sooo nice. Location - very easy walk to boardwalk / beach Pool - we went once and it was not crowded at all A/C - it was on before we even got there, room was always cool Cons: First room had a dead bedbug on the boxspring cover. We had read the previous reviews so we thoroughly inspected the room before bringing any of our belongings in. We informed the front desk and were given another room, where no bedbugs were found. Lots of flies everywhere though! Also, the floor was not exactly clean and the remote wouldn't control the cable box (maintenance fixed promptly though). The wi-fi was sporadic but that was to be expected. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
