I planned a 3 day 2 nights stay in ocean city. Booked on line. Pictures on line looked beautiful and clean when I arrived it was the same as the photos. The complimentary breakfast served each morning is awesome. My 2 year old granddaughter who was just diagnosed with diabetes was able to enjoy a healthy meal. It wasn’t just pastry and coffee. It was an array nicely chosen food. The pool was fun. Just an all around great experience. Thank you for your hospitality.
Came here for the weekend car show. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a good central area and within walking distance to some good restaurants and the Jolly Rodger amusements. Will definitely be back in the fall.
I stayed at the Tru by Hilton in OC this past weekend and it was amazing. The hotel was beautiful, rooms were clean, the staff was super friendly and inviting and breakfast was free and hot! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Came in from Atlanta to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Kia (night shift lady) was very nice. Recommended a fabulous restaurant for us and we were welcomed with open arms. upon checking in. Clean room and breakfast was great. I will definitely be coming back.
Overall the place is not bad and the location is fairly convenient even though it is not right on the beach. Area for improvement includes cleanliness in the room and the indoor swimming pool. The water in the pool looks particularly murky. I also think the hotel is trying to nickel and dime its customers with its daily parking fee.
It's a nice hotel, great location. Breakfast is basic but complete and everything is fresh and delicious. The room cleaning staff is a bit rude when you have to check out. Half an hour before your departure they are banging on the door loudly to tell you that you have to leave. On the other hand, the reception girls are friendly and willing to help you.
TRU by Hilton in OCMD is TRUly amazing!! I have told many friends and family about my wonderful experience at this hotel! I love reading TripAdvisor reviews but this is the first time I’m writing one because I truly feel like I need to let everyone know about my great experience at this hotel. My family of 4 and two other families were booked at a different hotel in Ocean City. Upon arriving in OC from another state, we saw the terrible conditions of that other hotel. We immediately started calling different hotels to find three rooms for our group. We drove to the TRU and were immediately greeted by Kira and Camille who were so accommodating. They were able to help us get rooms for our families. They were even able to get our rooms next to each other. This hotel is so new, clean, and the staff is so hard working and helpful! After staying at the hotel for 3 nights, I was able to add an extra night. Crystal was able to even help us stay in the same room. I was so impressed with the way staff treated their customers. Their complimentary breakfast is perfect. Breakfast ends at 9:30. The staff was still putting out food at 9:27. It is hard to find employees in all businesses especially at this time. But this hotel has managed to find great ones! The beds were very comfortable. There was even a nightlight in the bathroom which was great as turning on a white in the middle of the night didn’t disturb anyone in our family. There are no carpets in the room and this is great because sand is easily cleaned and the floor feels clean on your feet. There are ice machines on every floor with stacks of plastic ice buckets to use. Next to the water fountains, there are individually wrapped cups. I did not use the gym but other families in our group did and they raved about that as well. Thank you so much to the true, conscientious employees at TRU! This sign in the lobby says it all! You are getting what they say.…
Short, 2 night stay with my family of 4 and our dog. Check-in was smooth and they accommodated our request for connecting rooms and even gave us a 'doggie bag' with a few treats, poop bags and list of dog-friendly dining options. The rooms were clean and were spacious enough (no drawers or closets), beds were really comfy and the lemon sugar bath soap and lotion smelled so good . We didn't schedule housekeeping, but got fresh towels as requested. The free breakfast was decent: pancakes, scrambled eggs, a couple kinds of sausage, oatmeal with toppings, a few cereals and yogurts, bagels, muffins, bananas, apples, oranges. All day/night coffee and tea was a plus. There is free filtered water dispenser next to the ice machine in the lobby so bring your refillable water bottles. We enjoyed the pool and sun lounges on the 4th floor (there are some small pool towels avail) and my boys liked the fooseball,board/card games in the game room/lobby. Location is fantastic! It's a easy, short walk to the beach at 35th st. We walked just a couple blocks to check out Jolly Roger and then to Blu Crabhouse and raw bar (HIGHLY recommend). Shotti's Point right next door is good too (we did take out), but be sure to line up before the 8am open to have a yummy breakfast at Barn 34 right across the street! The only thing lacking is self-laundry machines, but we saw a laundromat just across from Jolly Roger. Would definitely stay here again if we came back to OC!…
hotel is very good for a small family. the rooms are small but adequate. location is great, two blocks from the ocean, on the quiet side of Ocean City, close to bars and shopping. good value for money.
The Tru hotel had a pretty bad smell in the hallway of our floor and when we were getting ready for bed, I found hair in the sheets, obviously the sheets had not been changed from the previous hotel guest by housekeeping. We also noticed the AC unit had a musty, sour smell & after further investigation, we noticed grime on the front of the unit. Once we pulled off front cover of the unit, we found the filters were extremely dirty and had never been changed. This is a health hazard!
