Nice clean spacious hotel room with balcony. Rooftop wine bar, crowded with locals and reservation needed. Beautiful room views and free parking in lot. Indoor/ outdoor small adjoining pools. Lobby bar is lack luster but service was good. Comfortable bed and barely any noise from outside. Late checkout only extended by 1 hour which is not favorable. Make SURE to lock balcony door for security reasons, Because the balconies are close to eachother and its easy to climb onto neighbors (see pics). Newer updated hotel in OC compared with the others on boardwalk.
The service at the hotel was very good, the hotel is very clean. The staff was very friendly and always available when needed. The location of the hotel is very good. we would definitely stay here again.
My wife and booked this hotel through Priceline for a few days after Labor Day. When we first arrived we thought that our room would not be on the same floor as the wine bar on the 8th floor but it was. Very strange that to get to our room we had to literally walk through a crowd of people waiting to get in to the bar/restaurant. The room was fairly good size with a very large bathroom and tv. The bed was nice but for me, didn’t give enough support as I was constantly waking up with numbness and sore neck. I didn’t understand why the bathroom was so extravagant yet didn’t have a fan for the steam? Another thing we could have used was drawers for our clothes and why that area of the room seemed like everything was jammed in to a small space, but other side of room was big empty space. I could see from other posts about the lighting from outside on the balcony, because even with shades pulled it was not dark inside the room to sleep. Now the pool and hot tub was very nice and we spent a large portion of down time there. I wish that a complementary breakfast or free coffee was offered instead of the Keurig and the high priced breakfast downstairs. All that being said it was a very good hotel and would stay here again. Just be prepared for a few of the oddities that may or may not bother you.…
I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. Parking was nice and close. The outside is nicely taken care of. The check in process was quick and easy. The rooms are nicely decorated, very spacious, and super clean. We loved watching the boats from our balcony. They all have 2 Adirondack chairs and a little table. The bathroom was very spacious and had a huge walk in glass shower. The indoor and outdoor pool were both very clean. My family and I loved our stay and can’t wait to go back next year. I have one suggestion……they should have a separate elevator for the rooftop restaurant. Trying to get to your room from 5pm-9pm takes awhile to get on the elevator.
Check in - smooth but I could imagine long lines if youre checking in 3-5pm. Elevators - only two. Bathrooms - spacious, updated and nice shower size. Beds - hard Pillows - somewhat flat. Bayveiw balcony - good size but NOOOO privacy as your neighbors are literally 1 foot away. Bayview - very nice. Tv - large. Usb plugs - sufficient. Microwave and fridge in the room. So though the balcony lights were extremely bright, the curtains blocked out all of the light. Indoor/Outdoor pools - small but clean.
The hotel is clean and the bay views are beautiful, however we would not stay again. The hotel blasts music at the pool during the day and at the restaurant Spain, from late afternoon until early morning. Please read the other reviews regarding the noise level, the spot lights attached to the balconies and the poor management. Unfortunately, it's all true....
Horrible experience. The hotel staff and management lacks basic customer service skills. First of all, we had booked seven different rooms for three nights spending over $10,000 for a bayfront views in the middle of summer to celebrate the end of life for our grandmother. The first two families (mine and my in-laws) arrived and settled into our rooms. It was hot but thought maybe it was because we just got done carrying everything in. After two hours and it wasn’t cooled down we went to the front desk and they said AC did not work in the rooms. They told us that they were working on the AC so we said we would go out to eat and they implied it should be fixed very soon. Well we got back around 8pm and our two very young kids needed to sleep so we went to our room and it was still 76 degrees at 8:30pm and high humidity in the room since it was over 90 degrees during the day. We went to the front desk again and they offered a different room that had a view of the parking lot but never mentioned the view was of the parking lot. So the next morning I went to the front desk and asked to be moved to a new bayfront view and the desk said ok but you will need to wait until this afternoon after housekeeping cleans the room people just left. Find ok. We come back around 3pm and they said they gave the room to someone else and there are no more rooms available!!! Then I had to ask for a box fan twice!!!!! We ended up going and buying our own before they could bring us one. So long story short we had to stay in our room for three nights, no AC, had to beg for and buy fans and only got one night comp. We attempted to make our own AC by filling a tote with ice and having the fan low the cold air. The general manager refused to talk to us or speak to us and had his front desk staff just run us in circles. They should have closed off those rooms so no one could stay in them and then made different accommodations for people and if they didn’t do that then there should have been sufficient compensation and some friendly and sincere customer service. We will never stay here again and neither should you.…
For families who live within 5-6 hour drive to OC-DE this is the summer resort for you. Lots of hotels, motels, house rentals. Activities galore- the beach, golf courses, shopping, restaurants. Prices are high but not outrageous. Traffic is extremely heavy on the weekends coming in and out of OC. Nearby is Rehobeth in DE and Berlin, MD where parts of Runaway Bride was filmed.
Cambria Ocean City is a new hotel located on the Bayside in Ocean City MD. The hotel is clean, modern with great views of the Bay. The restaurant service was excellent. There is a beautiful outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the ocean. On the main floor of the hotel there are tables and lounge areas to relax. Highly recommend this hotel
If I could give this place a zero, I would. The hotel manager Sarah Kelly is one of the worst human beings I’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting. She clearly doesn’t understand the hospitality industry. I wound tell people to run away from this place!
