We booked two nights online sight unseen. What a mistake. We got the first room and it was so nasty. Both beds were broken and everything was so dirty and nasty. I immediately went to the office and she did not act surprised just gave me another room. The beds were not broken but were extremely uncomfortable. The TV did not work and neither did the AC. We were forced to have the rear windows open to get air (and let the street noise in). The windows were cracked and there were no screens. The bedspread was so old it felt greasy. There were two small stained towels. The carpet and bathroom floor felt nasty. No amenities at all. The next morning I went to the office and told them we would not be staying the second day. I was only told "No refunds". We took the loss(for now) rather than have to stay another night in that awful motel. I will be disputing the second day with my credit card company. The place was a nightmare!…

Not worth the $608 I paid for 3 nights! Where do I start? I will list the issues Extremely uncomfortable beds with pathetic pillows that were flat as a board Toilet that wouldn't flush, they wouldn't give us another room so I had to take the tank off everytime we needed to flush Shower that wouldn't stay one temp! It was either too hot or too cold Drug dealers and lots of sketchy characters in this place, and my gf and I are used to staying in places like econolodge Only positive is that the AC worked great. I would never stay at this dump again!
DO NOT STAY HERE. Under no circumstances do not stay here. I place is horrible. I have never been so disappointed with a stay anywhere. The place is smelly, the heating wasn’t working. We ended up changing rooms. The room we ended up staying was filled with BED BUGS. So do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money here!! We took a photo of the bed bug we found here.
Staff is always friendly, the rates are great, rooms are clean spacious and some look right onto the beach. I always go with rooms on the other side but still very nice. Also a short walk to the boardwalk
Except for the TV service which was good, this place is well past it's prime. We had a tiny, dingy room with 1 bed, a couch, a coffee table, night stand, TV, and a small round table. I would not have put my food in either the fridge or the microwave as both were rusty (so was the floor lamp which we were afraid to plug in). There was no rug in the bathroom so you stepped out of the shower on to a wet floor. There were no drinking cups anywhere - plastic or otherwise. When I inquired I was told the did not supply cups but I could buy them at the Dollar Store down the street. There really is no designated smoking area. As far as I could see, except for in the rooms, smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises (eg, the balcony outside the rooms). We found the location to be noisy at night. Parking was ok if you get a spot out front - otherwise not sure what you would do. The motel is only 1 block from the beach and takes pets ($40 per dog/night) so if those are your main criteria you might be happy. We couldn't wait to leave the next morning.…
Honestly I hate writing bad reviews, however the room was so outdated, the beds were terribly uncomfortable, parking was a nightmare, the water in the shower trickled out, we were only given one towel for a family of four. They should not even bother having a door it was so thin we could smell the smoke from the other guests outside. Not to mention had to listen to their music, laughter and talking until 3 AM. Don't even bother unless you don't want to sleep or shower.
One block from beach & boardwalk. Very, VERY basic motel room, clean tile floor, sheets clean. Check in was quick & friendly. Chairs outside of room made the wait more enjoyable. Terrible cigarette smoke & musty smell in room, shower temperature fluctuates from freezing to hot without touching the dial. Room does show its age badly. This was ok for a one night stay while waiting for our actual vacation property. As the lowest priced option at a hundred bucks in OC for the night is was acceptable for a quick shower & sleeping.
After reading the reviews glad we didn't stay here. Had to cancel the reservation do to the Harrcane . The cancellation rules are ridiculous gave more than a 72 hour notice still got a charge. Shaddy way to do business.
You're definitely paying for the location at this no frills motel. Pros: -The location at 2nd St, a block from the boardwalk and beach, is great. -The management is flexible with letting you park well ahead of check in. Staff was friendly. -There's an OC bus stop a block away, but plenty of bars and eateries within a short walk. Cons: -The room was dated in appearance and poorly maintained. -Each of the two double beds in our room had noticeable large sag spots in the middle. One bed's frame was partially broken (a piece of the slat was touching the ground) and the second had questionable brown stains on the side. Both beds had debris underneath. -The bathroom was worn and looked a bit unclean. The shower was tiny and looked like a locker room shower. The water temp in the shower changed abruptly from hot to freezing and back. The toilet was stained and flush was weak. -The room smelled musty and felt damp. -The pillows were old and flat and the sheets were scratchy. -Despite having 3 people registered to the room we were given only 2 towels and had to go into the office to request additional (and then only received 1). -Only one accessible outlet to plug phone chargers into and no bedside table lamp, just an awkwardly placed floor lamp. -When the guests in the room below ours shut their door our floor shook. -There was a mini fridge in the room but placed in the doorless "closet" and left no room to hang any clothes. -No amenities- cheap bar soap is provided but no shampoo, etc. No hair dryer or iron either. Ultimately we just needed a space near the beach to sleep and rinse off the sand so for our one night stay it did the job. If I were staying more than one night, I would look for something else. Note: one free parking space is provided per room. If you need to park additional cars there is a lot on the same block as the hotel where you can park overnight for $35 (cash only).…
