When we booked Madison Beach at the same time as buying our Ocean’s Calling Festival tickets, all we really cared about was the location in proximity to the festival and a decent price. I’m so glad I didn’t pay attention to some of the negative reviews I read. Despite the festival cancellation, Everything at Madison Beach was great! I wish I had their names but all 4 employees we had contact with over our 3 nights went out of their way to be accommodating, kind and sympathetic to the festival being cancelled literally 1 hour after we had traveled from Indiana for the weekend. Unlike many other bummed out festival goers, Madison Beach worked with us on our reserved nights and rates and we actually saved quite a bit of money. They’ve done a nice job updating an old beach motel while still keeping that vibe. The beds were comfortable; room was clean; water was hot; shower water pressure was good…..what more do you really need. Also, staff gave us dinner suggestions each night and the restaurants were all phenomenal! The only thing wrong was our tv remote didn’t work and the staff was at our door with a new one 5 minutes after I called about it. That’s customer service! If you need to be waited on and pampered, and used to staying at a Hilton, this place isn’t for you. We personally loved the old beach motel vibe! IF, fingers crossed, they schedule the Ocean’s calling festival next year, Madison Beach will be my first phone call I make to reserve our same room, #258!…
I literally just got back yesterday. This is my second year with them as I plan to book every yr. Because I know what to expect. Close to beach/boardwalk. Never an issue with parking. Quiet at night. Never had a problem. Best money spent. Will be back. I stayed on the side of the pool which I love the rooms. They are small but that’s fine with just 2 ppl. I can’t say one thing negative other then see u guys next yr. P.s I at the time of booking their was no king beds available but I simple left note of one becomes available please let us know. With 5 min it was done. #rm344
First time staying in the madison house for us. We've been in the apartments and the regular rooms for years. As always, a wonderful experience! I truly don't understand why people would leave a negative review on this place; we have nothing to say but wonderful every time! Thank you so much Geo, Kelly and Norman for always making our stay great and a special thanks to Mike for ALWAYS making any needed repairs happen right away! See you guys Memorial day week 2023!! Thanks again from Randall Elser.
Staff was super friendly and accomodating! Great location and close to the boardwalk and beach. The price was the best for our 3 day stay when I compared it to other motels in the area for the same weekend!
We had a great time. Office was very accommodating to change our rooms to the first floor level. Clean and so close to boardwalk. Small rooms, but perfect for what we needed. Nice location and affordable. Will stay again!
Okay for cheap bike week stay. We had a second floor 1 BD RM with Q Bed. Had to get more towels only 1 towel in room. front desk provided extra towels. There were no curtians on the two windows lots of ouside light. The room had a strong musty odor. We had to keep the windows open. The bathroom shower water control was plumbed wrong cold was giving hot water and hot cold?? The bathroom sink had very little space for toiltres. The pullout bed matters was stained up pretty bad. We know it was a busy time and getting another room or hotel was not a option. Big plus was it was close to the beach/boardwalk. The front desk people were great had coffee every morning ready. A friend gave the information for the motel I did not read any review befor booking.
We stayed at Madison beach bayside, we had a nice stay the room was cozy. We were 3 minutes away from our fishing charter thats one reason we chose this hotel and right beside the route 50 bridge so we did not have to drive. Some improvements can be made to your hotel like having a rug by the door to prevent sand from being tracked in and having local channels on the tv so you can monitor the local weather. The staff was very nice we are staying there next trip thanks.
We just stayed here for the weekend right after Labor Day (our go to OCMD time every year). This place is not going to be the Hilton or another higher end chain hotel. You're getting what you pay for. But this hotel was perfect for our needs and we are already planning to book again for next year. It was such a great location for walking to the boardwalk and the beach and it was so convenient to have 7/11 right next door for all our pre-beach cooler fill ups. Our room had a tv in the living area and the bedroom, which was nice for down time. It was also nice having the mini fridge. The bathroom was newly renovated and they provided plenty of clean towels. The only issue we had was that the AC unit was in the living area but not the bedroom so it did get a little hot at night even with the bedroom door open. All in all, this place is a great location right near the busiest part of the boardwalk and a great value for the money. We will be back next year!…
The motel was just right for what we needed...a place to lay our heads and the staff were great to meet my disability needs. On the down side they didn't have a coffee maker, so we brought our k-cup maker. They have a nice swimming pool. We had a king size bed very comfortable.
Thumbs down, pictures doesn’t look the same online like it Should be in person. Rooms are too small. The bed is right next to the bathroom. The place is overpriced and rinky dink spot, this place is for college students only. Looks can be deceiving, the pictures were photoshop. The bathroom is small. Two bedroom efficiency. This is not a family place to spend your vacation. It’s a Motel not a Hotel. Even the pool doesn’t match the pictures online. This is a no star Motel. Please do not vacation here, find another place.😡
