Stayed there some years back nice ocean view with plenty of near by activities , kite flying on the beach 🏝️ as the hotel 🏨 is on the beach and access is great. Enjoyed the stay and do not remember anything that was out of order. The hotel was fine with pool , gym etc
This is our fourth stay at the Doubletree and we had a second room for our son, daughter-in-law and three young grandchildren. This hotel is an excellent choice for children because Jolly Rodger Amusement Park and WaterPark are just across the street. The staff did an outstanding job despite being short-handed. One complaint: a feeble internet.
The room was very clean and bigger than expected with a beautiful view of the water. We enjoyed having the kitchenette and extra bathroom. For some reason, the only channel not subscribed to was NBC so we couldn't watch football. The restaurant on site was good and happy hour was fun. We spent a lot of time at the indoor pool, which was nice. The deck was tile so it was very wet and slippery. When we arrived to the pool the second morning, there were no towels left so we told the front desk. They alerted housekeeping. Forty five minutes later, there were still no towels. Another guest told the front desk the pool had no towels and the front desk told them to take towels from their room. Since it was a holiday weekend, we would have thought they would be more prepared with the towels. The fitness center had a good amount of equipment, but I'm not sure the last time any of it was cleaned. I wiped off a mat before use and the cloth was filthy, almost black with dirt. Overall, it was a good experience and we'd come back, but a few things were disappointing.…
This is a great hotel with nice oceanfront rooms with expansive views. They have a variety of room types - we had a queen bed and a pull out for one person, 2 toilets, 2 bathroom sinks and one shower. Very convenient if you are a group of 3. Staff are super nice, heated indoor pool is wonderful although there was a lot of water that you have to walk through on the deck of the pool. Restaurant onsite with nice breakfasts and good variety of choices for lunch and dinner. Fantastic matchstick sweet potato fries!! Property is mostly taken care of well - we had some lightbulbs that were out and a switchplate that was falling off. Overall really nice hotel!!
I was excited that the hotel coffee shop was scheduled to be open every morning I was there. However, it was not and the front desk had no reason for the closure. This was very inconvenient as I did not have time for the restaurant and I was unable to get coffee or use my food credit.
DoubleTrees never disappoint. The hotel was great with friendly front desk staff, affordable off-season rates, great view from our room’s balcony, and the best warm chocolate chip cookies on the planet. Convenient location for walking to restaurants.
Last minute booking when previous hotel unexpectedly closed early for the season. Great location steps from the beach, which I was able to go to everyday even though it was the end of October. We had a "partial view" queen room but it was great and as good a view as being oceanfront. Full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher was an unexpected bonus. Outdoor pools were closed for the season but looked lovely. I used the indoor pool and hot tub and they were great. The room was quite inexpensive given all the amenities and location. Would definitely return.
This was our second autumnal visit to this Doubletree Hotel. We were greeted warmly by Patrick at the front desk who offered us an upgrade which we declined. The room was a partial ocean view king suite which was perfect. It was more like an apartment with plenty of closet space, great TV's and the best beds in the business. We stopped at the restaurant for Happy Hour and were treated wonderfully plus food was good and reasonable. We had breakfast each morning and Richard our server was very helpful and courteous. The fitness center and indoor pool was clean and comfortable. Parking is free at this hotel too. Our several days here were great and I highly recommend it.
My wife and I stayed here for three nights. We were greeted warmly by Pat at the front desk. We had a very nice suite and balcony. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Lot of room on the balcony with a nice view of the ocean. Shower was excellent. A very good on-site restaurant with three pools. Plenty of parking. The only problem that we had was our in-room phone did not work and they never could get it working. In the day of cell phones. This is not a big problem. But it could have been.
I really enjoyed all aspects of this hotel. The staff was pleasant , helpful and always accommodating. I enjoyed sitting on my balcony and soaking up the gorgeous ocean view. The restaurant was just so convenient and the chef out did himself every night, I highly recommend the crab bisque.
