I booked two rooms and we arrived and was only given one room and had to pay for an additional room and be separates from family. I had two handicapped elderly members. The clerk was helpful in getting me a room on the same floor. The The next day the manager kindly refunded me my nights stay after confirming that I did pay for two rooms and two nights. The rooms were comfortable, and had all ammenitites. The poolk was nice, I liked the Margaritaville lounge, decor by the pool and the free breakfast- traditional cereals and toast, yogurt boiled eggs, juice and waffels. The manager on call was very nice and working very hard to make everything pleasant and presentable. He and all of the staff were pleasant and professional and mostly, very helpful. The waitress offered to help me carry my beverages upstairs tot he fourth floor as she could see I was struggling. Housekeeping gave me fresh towels and linen upon request and they too were helpful. The manager propped the door for my family members to exit as they had limited mobility. The first night I thought I saw mildew on the foot of the couch but by daybreak it turned out to ne sand from the beach. It was missed from cleaning. Also in the pull out bed there was sand on the mattress with no sheets. The curtain was slightly hanging off its hook (1) I would strongly suggest removing the silverware and clean the silverware trays. There was evidence of insect feces in the draw. Upgrade extermination. Overall, the stay was pleasant, restful and close to the beach. The beach, restaurants and activities were in walking distance. I would come back with a large party again. It was nice. Kudos to the manager and staff.

We primarily stayed at this 2 star hotel for two reasons: location close to family we were visiting, and two, breakfast was included. We were hesitant to book here due to the many negatives reviews and sure enough, we should have listened. The name of this hotel does not live up to it’s standards. The hotel is being mismanaged and the rooms are outdated and unfilthy. There are other hotels within proximity with better reviews and value with a 3 star rating. We will definitely not be returning to this hotel again. THERE IS A ROOM SAFE CHARGE First, beware of a hidden room safe charge they don’t tell you about at check-in. It’s a $1.50 daily charge that is added on to your bill. After we had checked out, I looked over the summary receipt and noticed the charges. I called the hotel to dispute this but the person I spoke said I approved the charges when I signed the receipt at check-in and there’s nothing I could do to get a refund. She also aid there was a sign displayed at the front desk that mentioned this. Unfortunately, I did not see the sign or take the time to read the summary receipt at check-in as we were preoccupied and tired after a long day of driving. In the many years we’ve traveled and stayed at 2 to 5 star hotels, we have NEVER been charged a room safe charge. It's not so much the money but the principal. As a hotel courtesy, guests should be informed of this charge verbally and decide whether they need a safe or not. Since we keep all of our valuables with us at all times, we did not have any use for a safe. I feel I was taken advantage of and misled. A GRAB AND GO BREAKFAST The breakfast items were mostly packaged sweet breads and hot waffles. There was a limited supply of mini yogurt cups but you had to get there early or else they run out. No eggs, bacon, sausage or potatoes here. This is more of a continental breakfast. If you have a hearty appetite, you’ll have to go out, which is what we end up doing especially with two growing boys. It was pointless choosing this hotel for its free breakfast. Not a good value! POOR HOUSEKEEPING - FILTHY & DISGUSTING ROOMS The negative reviews on room cleanliness has been a period of several years. Apparently, management has not made this a priority. The housekeeping crews are not being supervised and rooms are not being inspected. For the price you pay to stay at this hotel, I expected a clean room. Our room on the second floor overlooking the pool was extremely filthy!!! As soon as we walked into the room, we noticed the floor was dirty. We could see traces of dirt specs throughout the floor and it was slippery and sticky. There were traces of fecal in the toilet bowl. We called room service as this was not acceptable. When the floor was mopped, housekeeping did not remove the cleanser. That's why it was sticky. When my husband wiped the bathroom floor due to a toilet leak, the towel was black with dirt. Also, I noticed the room had not been dusted for weeks. There was nest of webs around the lamps and phone and on top of the fridge. We were so disgusted and grossed out that we started to look for another hotel. Unfortunately, everything was booked. In all the many years that we have traveled, we have never seen a room this filthy. NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING ROOM SERVICE This was the only hotel on this trip that didn’t offer daily room service unless your stay was over 3 nights. STAIRWAYS FILTHY & UNVACUUMED The elevators are extremely slow so we took the stairway to our room. The carpets were unvacuumed. The stairway carpets were filled with debris from the first floor to the second floor. I imagine the next two floors up were in the same condition. LOUD MUSIC AND NOISE ON THE POOLSIDE & TIKI BAR If you want a quiet room, stay on the opposite side of the pool and tiki bar. The noise stops usually around 10 or 11 pm on the weekends.

This place needs a serious remodel and cleaning. Kitchenette was dirty, coffee pot was rusted, bath room, was old and falling apart. The beds were comfy is why I gave 2 stars. Location was good. When I complained about the price we paid foe what we received , the front desk smiled and said : yes we need a remodel.

this was the cheapest place I could find. Everyone on the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking, half of it covered. Free breakfast. Porta potties at the end of the street one block north- at the beach. I had a kitchen in my room, with enough dishes and pans etc. The beds were the best, super snuggie with big fluffy comforters. I was on the top floor, I could see some of the ocean.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here mid-July for 6 nights, and the only good thing I can say about the hotel as a whole is the location (it's just off the beach on the state line between Maryland and Delaware, so that's pretty cool). Ocean City, MD, nor neighboring Fenwick Island, DE, is very pedestrian-friendly, but that is not the hotel's fault. Oh, I will add that they do seem to have ample parking and the on-site restaurant/bar/pool was decent. I could kick myself for not taking pictures of everything, but there was very visible MOLD in multiple places throughout the bathroom (in/around the tub, on the ceiling and even in the exhaust fan that runs NON-STOP). It was black, too. I should also mention the ants (we were on the second floor, so not sure how that happened, but my husband says they probably came up through the plumbing) in more than one location throughout the room. I even found a few on the beds! We could not keep food in the room or use the kitchen, which was very disappointing given we booked the room because it had a kitchen. And back to the mold... Now I cannot prove anything, but I am very suspicious of breathing it in for multiple nights, as I was absolutely fine when I arrived in Ocean City, MD, but just 2 days after leaving said room, I was in my local ER with a temperature of 102 and diagnosed with pneumonia (COVID - 19 test was negative, so it was just pneumonia). I am 42 years old and have never had pneumonia in my life. I was not sick prior to the diagnosis, nor was my husband or daughter sick (neither one got pneumonia either). So I will just say if you value your health, book at another hotel. Saving a few bucks isn't worth the hassle. We paid $1,500 for 6 nights, but in my honest opinion is wasn't even worth half that.

I have been bringing my family here for at least 20 years on and off. Been thru the ups and downs with this property but I can say we were happy with the cleanliness and service. Room we had on top floor had newer carpet and furnishing and was quite clean when we arrived. Maid service was surprisingly good and responsive for a beach stay. One down note ...though not a fault of the hotel itself is that the Rio Grande Cafe does not do the breakfast service they had in the past. It definitely was the best in Ocean City at one time. No longer seems to be offered.

I've travelled a lot, over decades, and this was my most disappointing and appauling stay. My guy and I took a list minute trip away from work to do something to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and booked a room here. First the pros. - Tiki Bar stays open late - Free parking and close to beach - Continental breakfast Cons - BIG CONS - Rooms were not ready at check in - When we checked in around 5, housekeeping was still al over hallways - Urine all over sheets- bed unusable. When we did get access to room, we walked in to room with two bed. When I pulled back the sheets to check the beds (as I've always been to taught to do immediately upon entering the room) the flat sheet was covered in urine in 5 different spots - I immediately called the front desk and told them and asked for another room. They said they were full and they could send sheets up, but that they could not remake the bed. Shocked, I told them that I would gladly pull one of the housekeepers in the room while kept our belongings outside but I was not touching the sheets and that they could give me one of the vacant rooms that someone else had not yet checked into yet while they recleaned the room and remade the bed. They told me they would call me back. Appaulled I went to the hall to pull a housekeeper in. The housekeeping lead from another floor and a maintenance man entered our room. The maintenance man looked at the bed and said "Yep. That clearly piss. All over the bed." They left, came back with a new flat sheet, took the flat sheet only off the bed, not the other sheets, said they would not give me another room. I looked under and around the other bed and it was covered with food on the floor. They went to grab a vacuum. I asked the housekeeper how they could make a bed and "clean" a room and cover urine soaked sheets with a blanket and not vacuum. The housekeeper said, "they just have us clean the rooms so fast we can' get everything". I said "But food on the floor and urine soaked sheets, that have the bedspread pulled over them?" Her answer was, I know I must have changed the sheets but we can't clean everything. Totally unacceptable!!! - We could not use the 2nd bed. She only changed the flat sheet and would not change the fitted sheet or the pillow cases of the urine soaked bed. We stayed away from the bed and never walked on any floors without shoes - the balcony doors would not lock and the light stayed on the whole time - The outside chairs were filthy and could not be used and something kept leaking from the top balcony to ours on a hot clear day this weekend - No face masks - Not enough sanitizer There was nothing done to make this right. Nothing from the manager. I complained again to the front desk and the only response was "That's too bad." Worst hotel experience of all my travels.

Great location right on the Delaware line. Lots of parking and easy access to the beach. Very friendly staff! The rooms are nothing amazing but it works for a short stay. The rooms were clean for the most part but the kitchen wasn’t the best. Dirty dishes and broiling pan was left with food on it. There was also food left in the cabinets and freezer from previous guest.

When we arrived at the hotel we were given our room we went directly to the room. First problem : when we tried to open the door it was very difficult. Seems they had put some new card reader system on the door and didn't fit it properly. My 9-year-old son couldn't open the door. Problem number two : in room safe was not operational. Problem number three : The patio door was hard to open my wife and nine-year-old son could not open it. Later that night the patio door became unoperational nobody could open it.Talk to maintenance about making the repairs they came the next day which was great but. Whatever lubrication they used on the patio door was very obnoxious and made my wife ill. My wife asked several times to be moved which they would would not do. Finally at 10:30 p.m. that night they got us another room and we got to move to a new room. Pretty much the same problem with the entrance door sticking The in room safe again didn't work. in our room was supposed to be a kitchenette which was supposed to be fully stocked which it was not. For the money that we paid we should have gotten much better service and a much better room. Very disappointed.

Pretty much what you except at an older Quality Inn. Nothing fancy, but good size rooms, clean, and decent breakfast (though you have to take it with you for now). The hotel staff is very friendly, and the location just a block from the beach is terrific. This hotel is right on the border of OC and Fenwick so good can visit both. Good size pool with a outdoor bar attached. Hotel was not over crowded mid-week. I got a very good rate so for me this was worth it over staying at a higher rated place for $100/night more. Not quite 4 stars but if i could give it 3.5 I could.
