Location is wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. Jim and his wife were very kind. However, the place was extremelt dirty (ex: refrigerator, floors, tub, counters, and dead bugs in the window sills) and smelled very musty. I recommend a strong cleaning person between guests and an upgrade on dishes. We decided to get some cleaning supplies upon arrival to...

Just back from our visit. The room was large and tastefully furnished without being too fussy. The breakfast muffins were delicious and plenty of other items were offered in a sunny breakfast room. The host was amiable and helpful in regard to restaurants in Rock Hall. We went to a concert at the Mainstay on Saturday night and stayed over...

Nice and quiet weekend. The rooms were clean but could have used a really good spring cleaning. Nice accommodations. Bed was comfortable, lots of sunlight in rooms, TV in some. Caretakers were talkative and friendly and really made an effort to please. The husband was very interesting with lots of stories to tell. Breakfast was a continental breakfast of fruit,...

Great location for kayaking that's about it. Innkeepers were nice, but maintaining B&B was way over their heads. Rooms were very dirty, used q-tips on the vanity were a nice touch. NOT!! Out side shrubs are over grown and covering the walk ways. We booked for two nights but hightailed it out after one night. This place has seen better...

My husband and I just returned from our first visit to Rock Hall, Maryland.October, 2014. We stayed over night at Spring Cove Manor in the 'Summer Retreat' room. I looked at previouse reviews before I wrote this and I am surprised at some reviews and I can understand some of the others. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spring Cove....

Visited Spring Cove Manor late Sept. 2014. We should have been tipped off when we walked into the room and the doorknob fell off and rolled across the floor. Things went downhill from there... whole place stinks of mildew, kitchen was filthy (with open complaint letters laying on the island), toilets were brown and crusty and looked as if they...

My wife and I just spent two nights at Spring Cove Manor. Our main interest was in kayaking and we enjoyed it immensely. The owner of the inn, Jim, also owns a store that sells and rents high quality kayaks. He has encyclopedic knowledge of kayaks and of the region, and he took us on three very enjoyable trips. For...

My husband and I stayed in the Dr. Magniss room for several nights. We did not spend much time there, since our main purpose was recreation and exploring Kent County, MD. The main house and its furnishings are quite old, but the bed and upholstered chair in our room were very comfortable. The bathroom, towels and sheets were clean. There...

Depending on what criteria are important to guests, they'll either like this alot or they'll dislike it alot. After reading the TripAdvisor reviews, we sent the owner a note to see if we could avoid some of the pitfalls that others experienced. I think we were partly successful. Here are the pros and cons of the inn, as I see...

I'm rating this poor/average. Would not revisit. Other reviews are mostly accurate. This could be nice if the owners could find a way to hire a cleaning crew. As it is, I believe they do it themselves, and I they own another B&B in the area -- too much for one couple. We were in the cottage, a two bed,...
