I guess on the Cape you don't have to try too hard, there's always going to be demand for accommodation, but this place is beginning to fall behind the high standards that are being set by some bed and breakfast venues in New England. Needs a bit of a refresh and a tidy to justify the price.

We changed our cleaning staff for 2014 season. We have been doing some interior painting each winter/spring before the summer season. We did quite a bit more before the 2014 season and will do more each year. We also did some siding and shingle replacement before the 2014 season.

The Pepper House is the reason people choose to stay at a B&B. A beautiful room, great porch to relax on, a large deck to enjoy breakfast and most of all a host and guest that enjoy conversation. If you enjoy staying at historic homes, this is for you.

This is one of the most dilapidated and neglected B'nB's I have ever stayed at. The living room was positively spooky and and felt as though it had not been cleaned or aired out for years!! There was a mound of linen on one chair and we peeked into the kitchen which was piled so high with "stuff" that we...

We take our business very seriously. We are sorry that this guest did not seem to enjoy their stay. 99% or more of people seem to enjoy themselves and have a great time and most people do not take the time to put comments here. We tried to engage this person in conversation. It seemed like he did not want...

Our stay at the Pepper House Inn was very pleasant. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The owner of the Inn is also extremely nice and was very responsive to my inquiries when I was booking the room. Would recommend this inn to anyone!

The Pepper House Inn has managed to maintain its quaintness of an era gone by. ================================================================= It is clean, comfortable, and spacious while giving you the feel you are in the time period of when the house was built. It is a Bed & Breakfast not a large hotel. (If you are looking for the amenities of a large hotel...

This 5-room B&B is very nicely furnished and maintained. The mattress in our room was firm and comfortable and the room A/C was sufficient. Deb's breakfasts are good and she clearly cares a lot about the place and her guests. It's a nice spot near what might pass for the center of Brewster, a less-commercial part of the Cape. I've...

I lived on Cape Cod for 20 years before I met my husband at a college reunion and he convinced me to move to Rochester, NY. I've been away for 13 years now and still have so many close friends on the Cape who invite us to stay with them. However, I would rather stay at the Pepper House where...

Upon entering the inn, you are aware of an odor that permeates the house. It is not from food. That was replaced, however, by the musty smell in the bathroom of my room (I didn't see any mildew, however). I travel every few months, and don't remember an issue with odors in years in other places I've stayed. Perhaps the...

So sorry about that. I believe we found and fixed the source of the odor. We had an exceptionally humid June & July. One of the big rugs got wet. We've got it all dried and aired out now. I've checked several times and can't smell anything - so I believe it is gone. Will keep an eye out &...

Without getting into ALL the details of why I was left crying on the bathroom floor in disgust after being treated poorly by the innkeeper I will make this brief by saying don't stay here under any circumstance. I have a medical condition and needed to have a bathroom in my room. Trip Advisor booked me a room that said...

We spent a long weekend, the first night in Boston and two on the Cape at Pepper House Inn. This was our first trip to the Cape and Debby was a great resource, pointing us to local spots of interest. The Inn is a darling 200 year old home that has indoor plumbing, electricity, cable and Wi-fi! It is charming...
