I don't think there's anything I can add that hasn't already been said. We stayed 2 nights at Carriage House Inn over New Years. Val and Jim were exceptional hosts. Jim gave us great tips on what to do and where to go to make the most of our short trip and Val's great homemade breakfasts ensured that we had...

Well what can we say ?. We arrived on the Cape for a few days rest and relaxation and the location, standard of the inn and service did not disappoint us. Both Jim and Val put themselves out to enhance your trip but do it in a very sutble way as not to intrude on any pre-made plans that you...

My husband and I visited the Carriage House while we were between closings. We had just moved out of one home and were several days away from moving into another. We desperately needed some peace and quiet and time to focus on ourselves. Jim and Val and the Carriage House were just what the doctor ordered. From Jim's enthusiastic welcome...

My wife and I and our friends had the pleasure of staying at The Carriage House for three nights in the beginning of October. There is a reason why they are TOP Rated in TripAdvisor. It was a magnificent t 3 days. Our rooms were outstanding. They were off from the main house and had private entrances and fireplaces. We...

I stayed here for a couple of days last week with my girlfriend. From the moment we arrived, there really wasn't much that could have been done any better. Val and Jim are extremely helpful and at risk of repeating what others have said the breakfasts are truly excellent. The bedrooms are very nice, well decorated and cosy; the en...

We stayed at the Carriage House for a week in early October. Val and Jim were wonderful hosts, friendly and hospitable but allowing you space to do your own thing. Jim's helpful advice on the best places to visit was very useful and helped us make the most of our time on the Cape. The guest house is delightful and...

We recently stayed at the Carriage House Inn at Chatam for the weekend. A beautiful fall weekend reunion with my maid of honor. Jim and Val went out of their way to make sure that we had a wonderful time. They are so knowledgable about everything going on at the Cape made wonderful suggestions as to what to do. The...

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon tour on New England. We arrived a little late from Boston, Val and Jim took time to welcome us like old friends, even though they had friends staying and were heading out for dinner. The inn itself was a delight - immaculate, spacious and above all welcoming. Breakfasts were art - Pina...

I chose this inn for a weekend reunion with my college roommate. We both enjoyed staying here very much. We each had a room in the main house, both of which were thankfully very comfortable and very clean. The innkeepers, Val and Jim Mellett, are incredibly nice and accomodating. They are clearly enjoying being innkeepers. They are very helpful and...

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Carriage House Inn, largely on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. But everything wasn't perfect either. First, the positives. Valerie and Jim Mellett are extraordinarily hospitable. Between Val's home cooking and Jim's attentiveness, guests are well taken care of. The Melletts bought the six-room inn in 2010, an ongoing...
