Everything was excellent. Wouldn't change a thing. I grew up in Greenfield so it was also a bit of a homecoming. I had never stayed in the Inn although spent lots of time on the tennis court at the Academy over th years. I loved the room and updated bath was great to see.

We made a last minute one night reservation and got a wonderful room, friendly service and an overall enjoyable stay. Close to Sugarloaf Trail and lots of good short trips. The DI will always be our go-to place to stay.

we have been reserving a room at the Deerfield in for a work retreat once a year, and always find it a pleasant, cheerful place to meet with good food and courteous service. A lovely space where it is easy to get good things done. Thank you

Dear Work Meeting, . We are a vacation and school visit destination, so it's especially pleasant to hear praises from the working community. So glad that everything worked out for you. Please spread the word! Thank you

The Inn is lovely, our room nicely decorated, and the food was the excellent, fresh and wonderful choices. That was true for dinner and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A great getaway place to come!

It appears obvious that the staff requires training in customer service, as the person at check in was terribly unfriendly and condescending. This incident provided a poor start to our trip. The experience was further degraded by a drunken, rowdy crowd at dinner. Overall, it's unlikely that we'll return or recommend the inn to others.

I am so sorry to hear that your experience at the Inn was not the best. I apologize that your check in experience was unfriendly. If I am not mistaken, I believe that your experience later on in the Tavern was when the Kentucky Derby was running. I can assure you that though the patrons were boisterous and excited about...

After 4 years at the school and numerous weekend visits where the Deerfield Inn was booked, I finally got to stay at this historic landmark. The wait was worth it, as our stay was charming, and an eye opener for my wife who had never seen this "prettiest Main Street in America". The room, restaurant, and service were all excellent....

So glad to hear that you finally got to stay at the Inn after so Long. Unfortunately only having 24 rooms at the Inn we do get booked up on school weekends for years in advance. I agree Old main Street could win the title as prettiest in the country. We are very pleased to hear that the service and...

We wanted a small ceremony for our wedding and the Deerfield Inn was amazing. They were very attentive and accommodating. Everything was taken care of for us, from the details of the flowers to the wedding cake. We are already planning a return trip.

We have always loved visiting the Deerfield Inn and historic Deerfield. It is such a great place to stay. The restaurant is so much more beautiful and friendly since the remodel. We can't wait to visit again.

I am fortunate to be able to stay at the Inn fairly regularly. It is exactly what you would expect from a New England B & B.(in a good way) The staff is always courteous and helpful. The restaurant is convenient and the food is well prepared and tasty. The ginger martini is a must.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Deerfield Inn first opened in July 1884 while both a drought and grasshoppers were plaguing the village. The disasters went, but the guests stayed for "the atmosphere and charm of early days, with modern comfort and convenience" with breakfast starting at 30¢ and a room with running water from $1.50. Today we have 24 comfortable and pleasing guestrooms and farm-to-fork Champney's Restaurant & Tavern. We source locally, make our own infusions, support area microbrewers, and in our 131st year we remain the centerpiece of Old Deerfield, a National Historic Landmark, and a Select Registry Property. ... more   less
