The Winnetu was one of the best places for my family and I to vacation. When we arrived the staff was nothing but professional, courteous, and extremely accomidating. They have everything from firetruck rides in the afternoon to roasting smores in teh evening. The grounds are also immaculate. ,I HIGHLY recommend the Winnetu for any size family and have already...

Our vacation at the Winnetu Mattakesset townhouse was perfect. The setting out by the Ocean can not be beat. We enjoyed tennis, the heated pools, the SHUTTLE into Edgartown, where you find a wonderful quaint little New England town. We enjoyed sitting on the deck of our rental home and also the The Dunes restaurant deck where we enjoyed the...

The room was quite large (Jr Suite) but not quite up to a luxury hotel. The bed was right next to the hallway so blinds had to be drawn for any privacy. The bathroom was a bit dated and I was surprised there weren't bathrobes, but probably not an issue for everyone. The property is great in that has a...

Our 2 bed, 2 bath suite, room 214. Was a motel room disguised with beautiful bedding, drapery and custom pillows. The rugs were filthy and caused all of us an instant allergy attack. I specifically asked if there are rugs and was told there were "area" rugs. Not true. Their textiles are beautiful but are musty and stained and clearly...

My husband and I took our 3 year old daughter here for an end of summer weekend getaway. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids over the age of 3. First of all the resort is beautiful and located on South beach which I think is one of the best beaches in New England. It is clean with...

My family has been going to the Winnetu/Mattekesett for a week each August for the past 18 years since my children were very young. It is the highlight of my year and my children now bring there boyfriends, fiances, and college friends. We feel like it is our home away from home and already are trying to choose our week...

We stayed here a number of years ago. However, it was a definite highlight and I would return to this hotel. We stayed in a cottage/apartment not the actual hotel as we wanted extra room for our daughter given the length of time we also stayed. The summer camp was fantastic! My daughter loved the counsellors and all the activities...

So convenient for both the beach and pool. Best of both worlds. Complimentary shuttle to downtown Edgartown if you chose to leave the resort - you don't have to if you don't want to. Very kid friendly. Kids activity center is amazing. No need to bring your own toys - they have everything to keep your kids entertained. This was...
