Off season, nothing! This property is amazing! Wonderful room, with views as advertised, and hospitality out the roof! I was awed by the shower -set up for two, but accommodating for this just one. Big bed and full TV. Thank you, Sheas!

We visited in the off-season and even though it was cold, the view was so amazing I enjoyed just looking out the windows at the water. The sunset was gorgeous. We had room #1 at the Inn. I could live there, I loved it so much! The room is more like an apartment with a large bedroom and comfy king...

Shea's Riverside Inn and adjacent restaurant is a 5 star experience. GM Gayle Grady is charming, witty, talented and beyond accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and arrived to find a beautiful spring floral arrangement in our room! The newly renovated inn has kept its antiquity and charm and added beautiful bed linens, oversized showers, and cozy fireplaces-- all this...

We love it here. This is our second stay and looking forward to our next. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. My hats off to the staff for putting together a wonderful Valentines Day Special, which included a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Shea's, where the Food and Service is always outstanding!

We had the large suite which is absolutely gorgeous. Views of the River were beautiful. Room was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. Big King size bed. We also had a terrific dinner at Shea's Restaurant. Loved every moment of our little getaway.

We needed a place to stay for our grandson's wedding. We stayed in Essex because it was located half way between our son's house and where the wedding was to take place. We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and clean the rooms were. Both had a large deck that looked out over the river. Had the weather been slightly...

Great location on the river with access for small boats. Several resturants nearby but only Dunkin Doughnuts(across the street) for breakfast food. We stayed in a corner room in a older style motel building. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking is right outside the rooms. WiFi is free but signal in our room was very weak. The room has...

Room had a great view of Essex River. No coffee maker but did have fridge and microwave. (Dunkin Donuts across the street). Room was a good size and comfortable. Room had mini blinds on Windows which did not darken the room enough - outside lights very bright.

My mom and I have been traveling to Cape Ann for about 7 years, and now I have two rescue dogs that we try to bring with us. They have been traveling with me since the day I adopted them, and they are so well behaved and travel beautifully. We were excited to check out Essex since we normally stay...

My husband and I were visiting Salem Massachusetts for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Not only did we have a wonderful trip. This motel was very nice, clean and romantic. The view of the river and dock was located right there only steps away from the rooms. The parking lot was nicely lit and not at all over powering. All of...
