We stayed at the George Fuller house on our visit to Essex. We came to see the Strand Beets. The owner/hostess Kathleen Sullivan gave us terrific information for restaurants, places to visit and directions to some interesting sites. The house is immaculate, quiet, charming, bed are comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful. The house is within walking distance to most...

Believe me, if Mary and Joseph had come to this Inn, Kathleen would've have made room for them. This place, and this inn keeper, are delightful. Only come if you want an authentic New England B & B experience. The house is over 300 years old, it is situated on the glorious marshes of Essex, MA. It is near some...

My partner and I chose the king bedroom on the first floor to avoid climbing stairs, but we were offered an upgrade to the "penthouse" on the third floor - and it was worth the climb! Lovely large living area, king bed, deck, kitchenette, and big picture windows with a view. The innkeeper is so helpful and caring - she...

It is a 300 year old house & it needs some love. That being said, it looks better on the inside than the out. We stayed in the "penthouse" with a very comfortable king bed, a lovely view of the Essex River Estuary and the smallest shower I have ever been in and I have worked & lived on boats...

Lets start by saying this is a 300 year old house. It is also located on Main Street in Essex so yes, there is some street noise which in no way diminished our stay. If you are a very light sleeper, request a room not on the street. Kathy the owner is very friendly. Did she talk our ears off?...

My husband and I booked the whole place for our daughter's wedding. We had 5 couples and the bride. The bride's sisters were the maids of honor. Kathleen was wonderful. SO very accommodating. She even ironed my daughter's boyfriends shirts. The beds were all quite comfortable. It was clean as would be expected. What set the place apart was the...

And the main reason we did is because of the wonderful Innkeeper, Kathleen, who made us feel very welcome. She is a gem, and we really enjoyed talking with her. She made good suggestions about where to eat and what to do, and was very helpful. We stayed in the penthouse, which is a large sleeping/sitting area with a kitchenette...

Stayed here for 6 days and every breakfast was delicious. We were comfortable in the penthouse which was a king bedded room with a small kitchen and bath with a shower (no tub). We only used the fridge to store yogurt and beverages. Restaurants and ice cream are within walking distance down the road. The innkeeper, Kathleen, was great. We...

I was glad that I had read the other reviews and was prepared for no keys. Actually, it felt strange not locking my room, but I had not problems. The B & B has a lot of charm and in fact the most delicious breakfasts I have had at any B & B. By the way, don't wait in the...
