My family and I stayed here as we had a wedding in Gloucester to attend. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. The rooms were clean and had a great view of the beach! The staff were very helpful with finding places to eat, where to go and any local beach information. At night they have a...

This might be the oddest review you've ever read, rest assured it is factual exactly as written. The trip was pre-planned the stay was not. Our usual (Colonial Inn, Gloucester) had been completely booked (the whole Inn) for someone's event but in keeping with their style they recommended Ed Comer at the Blue Shutters Beachside Inn. Ed answers the phone...

We had a lovely New Year's Day and night in Gloucester at the Blue Shutters. It was particularly enjoyable and special because we had a great conversation with all four hosts/owners that evening in the living room chatting about all sorts of subjects! We felt truly at home and it was like visiting with old friends! We took an invigorating...

During Winter Storm Lexi, I had the enormous pleasure of spending the weekend here. Arriving at the peak of the storm, we were helped into the property by Ed with a huge hug and I knew I was in paradise. I always wanted to see the ocean in winter and have had a love affair with the New England coast...

We had an unpleasant experience at a nearby location. We ended up at Blue Shutters unexpectedly and had a wonderful experience. We interacted with two of the owners Ed and Tony. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and orderly. Having morning coffee looking out the picture window was amazing. Can't wait to stay at Blue Shutters again!

I was nervous when I first called to make my reservation because I was planning a road trip vacation for my two sons and myself and the furthest east I had ever been was Chicago (I'm from Iowa). I had read an article online about Cape Ann ("New England's 'Other' Capes") and the author had mentioned the Blue Shutters Beachside...

The view of Good Harbor Beach says it all. The Inn is a perfect getaway. Owners are hands on and very gracious. We wanted for nothing. The very clean rooms have a beachy decor. The nice breakfast spread was enough to get you going. Great location in Cape Ann. Terrific place to chillax. Did I mention the gorgeous view?

Diagonally located across from Good Harbor Beach, one of the top beaches in Massachusetts has an intrinsic value. When you add gracious hosts Eddie and Tony and their spouses Anne Marie and Patty, you have a magical experience. Their beachside inn provided us with lovely continental breakfasts, afternoon complimentary wine and hors d'ouevres and evening fires at their firepit. We...
