We were looking for a place to stay and I happened on Margaret's phone number via the spotty internet on my phone in rural Massachusetts. Margaret indeed had a room and kindly gave directions to the Inn as the sun was setting. We were first in the Swedish room - which was clean and cheery. Queen bed is VERY FIRM...

The Ipswich Inn Bed and Breakfast is a delightful old New England inn run by Ray and Margaret. The building is filled with family memoribilia and period furnishings. The facility is well maintained and the staff friendly. We stayed in the Veranda room on the 1st floor. It's the newest addition to this inn. The room was large with a...

I stayed here for a week with my son. Ray and Margaret are so friendly. Best breakfast in town. We stayed in the skylight room and it was very quiet. The housekeeping staff was very accommodating. I plan on staying here again in a couple of weeks when I return to Ipswich.

The East Room was large enough for sitting as well as sleeping. Lots of hot water. Great breakfasts. The owners are on site and can help as little or as much as needed. This will be my home away from home when I visit my brother and his son. I can't recommend it highly enough. Katherine, Raleigh, NC

We stayed here for an extended weekend and loved the place. Ray was kind enough to move us to a slightly bigger room (Swedish) than the one we had booked (Skylight). The bed was super comfortable. Not enough can be said about their breakfast. We wanted to eat everything. And though it was crowded with local guests, you feel like...

My wife and I live in town (Ipswich) but we absolutely love going to the Ipswich Inn for the night to have a break from the kids. The owners are great folks and very accommodating. Check in and check out hours are pretty loose so getting there a little early or sleeping in a bit don't tend to be an...

We spent three nights at the Ipswich Inn and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Not only was our room lovely, but the breakfasts were outstanding. Ipswich Inn includes a restaurant that is open to others who are not hotel guests. As a hotel guest, breakfast is included and you can choose from the menu. The inn is decorated...

We had one night in early December. I was very pleased with this inn. It was even lovelier than the photos showed. We had the Verandah Room. It's very large. The bathroom is large & has lots of space for your toiletries. The bed was super comfortable, and we enjoyed good bedside lights. The books in the large bookcase were...

We had a nice stay at the Inn. Our room was spacious and clean. The owners were able to accommodate our last minute upgrade to a bigger room. We really appreciated that! We did hear a person who was staying in another room arrive at 1am and start showering. We were woken up by the shower. The breakfast room was...

Loved staying here 4 nights in mid November 2015. The breakfast each morning in the Inn's restaurant was terrific. The Cheesy Egg scramble (with Boursin cheese) is a winner! Stayed in the Wicker and Jordan Rooms and both were excellent. Ray, Margaret and all the staff are so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back and bring my family!
