Spent one night here and was initially skeptical about the location on a busy street across from the old textile mill- now Mass MOCA. I was completely won over by the personal attention and courtesy at checkin, the comfortable and really clean rooms, and the tasteful amenities like room service, complimentary delicious continental breakfast and a beautiful slate decked pool....

The location across from Mass MoCA is great. If your room is on the MassMoCA side of the building, though, it can be noisy, so bring really good ear plugs. Pluses for me - the photos and funky plates and folk art on the walls, the super comfortable bed. Minuses - traffic noise, the included breakfast (nearly all dairy -...

A nice and somewhat cozy hotel in a not so cozy part of town with highly trafficked roads just outside. I guess you visit for the museums, but we were just passing on our way South. The rooms are nice but fairly small, and it's not incredibly suited for small children. Due to the old design of the hotel with...

The hotel was great and located directly adjacent to Mass MOCA. It was created by renovating a row of workers housing and connecting them with a generous front porch. Many features of the original houses have been maintained and the design touches are clever. Breakfast was included and my advice would be to go early because the staff could not...

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Williams College. Just amazing use of old rowhouses. Very lovely rooms and so interesting restoration. Very clean and top-of-the line bathrooms. Breakfast was adequate.

Porches is very quaint and brings back that ol' time New England feel. The heated pool is amazing, even in April when it is still cold outside. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast brought to your door every morning is great. It is in a very convenient location to visit the museum , the college, and all other attractions....

We visited North Adams while touring New Engand. Porches is a pleasant, clean and quiet Inn, themed to be old western style. Is it just 5 mins walk from the centre of North Adams. The rooms are comfortable and fully equipped, if a little basic. Breakfast was a buffet and whilst not anything to get excited about, it was more...

Very nice, rustic hotel. Novel concept in construction. Adequate continental breakfast but not much else provided beyond that. Did not have time to take advantage of outdoor amenities. Thought it was pricey for the surrounding neighborhood, but did provide

This was our first trip to North Adams, and although it snowed a bit during this spring break trip, we enjoyed our two-night stay at The Porches. The location across from Mass MoCa is convenient, and our junior suite room was large enough for our family of four (2 small children) but did feel a bit cramped when the pull-out...

Very nice property. It is a relatively large property, more on the Inn side then B&B. The facilities are nice, although it is right on the road with an almost commercial / industrial feel for the area. As an example, we were not comfortable leaving our bikes on the car. The rooms were beautiful, especially the King room which we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Porches Inn consists of seven renovated Victorian-era buildings that originally provided housing for the area’s mill workers. Located across the street from MASS MoCA, Porches’ guest rooms and public spaces employ a clever synthesis of retro and contemporary designs. The inn’s 47 rooms and suites are fully wired, offering free WiFi, BluRay/DVD players and complimentary DVDs. Porches' healthful continental breakfast is included in the room rate and may be eaten in the Breakfast Room, on the porch (weather permitting) or delivered to your room in the inn's signature metal lunchbox.
