I was supposed to stay at the Island Inn on August 23 but Hurricane Henri was expected to make landfall. Days before, the news, the Governor of Massachusetts, The National Weather Service, NOAA all issued warnings to avoid the Cape and Islands and the ferries to MV were being shut down so what was I supposed to do? I didn't want to travel in bad weather with my two children. I tried to change the dates by contacting the hotel but they refused saying I missed the cancellation window (one month earlier). I realized it was summer so I tried to change the dates to October but the hotel again refused. In all fairness, Vacasa tried to help so I am displeased with the hotel management and staff.

The property was maintained by Vacasa Vacation. We stayed in apartment 40G which was beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. Restaurant Nomad is right next door to unit 40G which live music could be a bit noisy until 11 PM.The pool, tennis courts and ground of the Island Inn were very well kept with lawn games, plenty pool towels.

My husband and I with our little big man 🐶 checked in around mid May during the work week. We faced with key code problem that the hotel give us . it did not work . . however we were helped by the friendly staff 😊 "Jermaine" and the other woman (Sorry we forgot her name) even after 5 pm. The next day "Chelsea" from the receiption desk, called to check up that we were ok ? or anything else they can do. We are very appreciative. Normally I always have a problem with sleeping the first night in a new place no matter where and my husband is a light sleeper. But here I had a very good night sleep throught out the night easily and so did my husband because it is quiet and the air conditioning is not too loud. The things that disturb us would be "ants" we have to be very careful about eating in the room and the entry door needs to be updated. The room is clean and the staff is so helpful. Plenty of yard for dogs to wonder around and small play ground for kids. if you are not a "luxury" person . .needing to have everything . . this place is perfect.

We were pleasantly surprised at our stay here. Closest to Oak Bluffs and not too far from Edgartown. We had a one bedroom suite (1 queen, two twins, 1 full bath off the kitchen and the queen room had a half bath), nice little kitchen, and spacious living area and back deck. Would 100% stay here again.

I had reservations at another resort but couldn’t give me all 5 days so I found Island Inn for the one night. Checking in was a breeze and the staff was very kind and made me feel very comfortable with my service dog too. I was pleased with the little cottage like room as it was spacious. It had a queen size bed and a sleeper sofa, and it had a full kitchen and bathroom. All of which was very clean. The grounds were nice and the pool seemed nice but it was a little chilly for swimming. Had a couple tennis courts and everyone around was very nice. Great resturant on the grounds too.
