I stayed at the Berkshire Inn for 1 night, between two golf events in the area. My room was clean, the management greeted me politely and professionally, and I was very happy with the accommodations. The rate is well worth what the room provides - updated bathroom, clean room, comfortable beds, well operating new windows. No complimentary coffee in room or at 6AM from office, but at trip to Elm Street Luncheonette (3 mi away) provided an excellent breakfast at reasonable cost. I would stay here again.

Pros: Basic, clean motel style rooms, nice carpet, comfortable beds, fridge, incomprehensible microwave, nifty surround light vanity mirror, freshly painted with unheated outdoor pool; close to downtown Pittsfield, MA with reasonable rates and decent liquor mere steps away.
Cons: Poor wifi (forget streaming), unreliable cable reception, dated flat screen tv, no coffee maker, no bedside table lamps and 1 worn out armchair. Manager ok guy but not so congenial.

Family skiing trip to Jiminy peak in MA for 2 nights. Very economical, and very simple. 2 queens size beds , large closet where we stored our boots and skis, looked like the bathroom was renovated, fridge , tv, desks.. very basic and clean. There was some funky smell seeping through the bathroom , but couldn’t point what it was. Neighbors smoking something.. The staff was super courteous especially when our car battery went dead, they boosted us in no time. The only thing that was missing for us is the lack of variety for breakfast. Coffee, tiny mini muffins, tiny bagels and basic cereals milk oj and few bananas. Heading to the slopes would be nice to fuel up I guess you get what you pay for.. otherwise nice short stay.

WoW open room door to see the bedding and pillows just heaped on beds. Bad sensory immediately. Return to office and given another room key. Same result. Office person says housekeeping is to blame and can either wait for her to make up room or refund. Chose refund because want a cleaned room not just a bed re-do. Office person apologized and I felt bad for her. How embarrassing for her. Housekeeping owes her 2 room rental amounts since they were unusable.

The room was what one would expect at this type of motel. Everything was alright except for the bathtub drain which was badly clogged. The owners, a husband and wife, are abysmal. They are very unhelpful and will not bend or extend themselves one bit. Instead, they try to confuse and make their guests look small and feel stupid. Housekeeping was apparently equally resentful of having to do the basics for guests. When I asked for basics at the front desk, the woman look at me as though I have two heads. When I couldn't operate the television, the husband came in my room, showed me his rotten teeth and used insulting, abusive verbiage. As I said, the room was OK; however, the staff was horrendous.

Absolutely over priced, dirty, front staff not friendly old motel.
Was thrilled to see great reviews as this was a nice offer for our Tanglewood weekend. We paid over $260 for the night and honestly paid $200 too much
The rooms were dated, dirty with chips and holes throughout. Users will not pick up at this location. I would not stay here alone. Not safe.
The front office was not welcoming or able to help with the conditions. Checkout consisted of walking to the desk and being ignored while the person did paperwork then pointed to drop the key on the counter. no words of response to any questions asked.

We stayed one Friday night on our way from Buffalo to Boston. We didn't have high expectations given the bargain price, but the gentleman who checked us in was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Bed and pillows very comfortable.

The desk staff are very rude. Unhelpful, yell often. The office and room has a weird smell. Old motel, need updates, bad location, traffic loud. There are better places to stay in Pittsfield. Will not stay again. Avoid this place.

This place is really bad. Old. Dirty. One lightbulb, dank dark ancient rooms. Probably was renovated in the 1970s. It was so unfortunate that we drove three hours rather than stay one night. It’s just gross. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Newly renovated, spotless room. Large touch screen lighted mirror. Comfortable king mattress and lots of pillows. Nice towels, too. Excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. Quiet a/c. Friendly front desk staff. Outdoor pool, too.

I would imagine some form of payment, either a credit card or check or cash...I think they prefer credit cards...There are usually 2 beds in a room but if you need an extra cot I believe they will supply one...I think these questions are better asked of the management office.
