This place is a total dump. Since it switched from being a Quality Inn to a Royal Inn, it has gone completely downhill. I had the whirlpool room, which is their most expensive room. The walls were covered in stains and holes. The microwave door was melted and warped, and wouldn't close. The cold water valve of the whirlpool tub... More

I stayed with my mom at the quality inn in Indianola, Ia for the weekend of my I nieces high school graduation. The hotel was dirty from the start with dirt/mud on the first floor hallway, mints and garbage on the stairs and stairwell, and a funky smell in our hallway. Our room appeared clean until we found a used... More

My boyfriend stayed at this hotel a few nights while working construction on a building in town. First of all the walkway to your room was outside. He said the stairs going to the second floor were slanted downward and the paint on them made slippery on top of the snow and ice that was not cleared off of them.... More

Words cannot describe how unhappy I am about my stay at the Quality Inn. Housekeeping is incompetent (hair in drain, mysterious brown stains on the wall, dirty floor) and Management is unprofessional, uncaring, and down right rude. I was accused of being the problem, and screamed at by the manager upon showing him the photos of my room. After a... More

I second the description "tired" but that doesn't mean unacceptable. The room was a good size and clean, even if the decor seems dated from the 1980's. The mattress was not overly hard, which was good. But our room also had some wierdnesses. One was that the toilet was too close to the wall underneath a low shelf. As a... More

I read the reviews of this Inn and feared it would be a dump. Not so. The yard was not overgrown as one person reported. In fact the planting are quite good. The room we were given was very good. It has a microwave and refrigerator. It has a sink in the bathroom and a sink and vanity in the... More

If the title of my review doesn't speak for itself, then please read on. Any average tourist could tell you what the appropriate dress is for a front desk hotel clerk. Well the woman at the Quality Inn must have missed that training course on professional dress. While I don't expect a motel would require a suit, I would have... More

Yes, there is much one can complain about this motel - it is not a great Quality Inn. We presume that it was bought when it was very run down, it may have even been closed for a time. Slowly, it is being brought back to life, and improved. In the meantime, it is one of the most reasonable, or... More

This is not your typical Quality Inn, it was another motel and the chain bought it. The rooms are extremely tired, mine had copious amounts of paint peeling off the wall in the shower. The room smelled like smoke (due to a shared ventilation system) and it was not a room I would choose to spend any time at all... More

When I pulled into the lot, my instinct was not to even set foot inside yet I had a reservation and the cancellation period had passed...The motel is first not a hotel at all! It is so run down with peeling paint and overgrown "grass" Weeds were plentiful, rising 16 inches from the ground and surrounding the entire footprint of... More
