I've stayed in many B&Bs and always had great experiences... until now. The Nichols Guest House was absolutely dreadful. We stayed two nights and were disappointed the moment we opened the front door. The house is musty and cluttered (think: "Hoarders") with stuffed animals and tchotchkes everywhere. Our room barely fit around the bed and the only window was screwed...

This guest never indicated anything was awry during her stay. Statements in this review are inaccurate: No one slept in the attic, the Cameron room is safe with two fire exits, the bedroom and bathroom were both cleaned and the bathroom is not shared with the owner. Private space was violated with the attic intrusion. Beauty is in the eye...

Walt and Dorothy were gracious hosts during our second stay at the inn. It was just as enjoyable this time as last. Again the breakfasts were great, each morning my wife and I would try to guess what surprise we would encounter at the breakfast table and we were never disappointed. Next time we are in the area, we will...

Cozy B&B, yummy breakfast, early American antique decor especially appealing for travelers from other parts of the world. Good location for visiting Providence, RI. Very hospitable atmosphere.

This B&B was not only fantastically decorated but rates our highest rating for any accommodation we've stayed in. Dorothy and Walt make you feel at home in this accepting, friendly and spotless B&B. The food was plentiful and delicious. Me and my best friend stayed here for our New England tour and found an environment that allowed for plentiful sleep...

My wife and I stayed at Nichols during a visit to the area to attend a funeral. The Inn was very clean and welcoming. We were very satisfied with everything and the morning breakfast was an epicurean delight. We will stay there again on our next trip to the area. Dorothy and Walt operate a 5 STAR Inn.

My wife and I only spent 1 night, but we will be back for sure. Dorothy was an amazing host and Walt is a great story teller. It's so close to Providence. Breakfast was great. We sat down at 8:30 and never got up until 11:15. It was like having an old famous sunday breakfast with family. Thanks Dorothy. Keep...

Dorothy and Walt are perfect hosts and perfectly proud of their quaint, comfortable and historic house. My wife and I enjoyed three cozy, peaceful and restful nights and three sumptuous, varied and yummy breakfasts at Nichols B&B.

We've always enjoyed the warm atmosphere of Bed and Breakfasts, and that's exactly what found at Nichols. Walt and Dorothy, our hosts, were extremely helpful, and the breakfasts were absolutely outstanding. We would stay here again in a minute. It's 1 hour from Boston and 30 minutes from Providence. We loved it.

My wife and I loved this place. This is the first B&B we stayed at and the entire stay was perfect. They have everything and more you could possibly want. The breakfast was phenomenal. Eggs, sausage, french toast, fresh cran/grape juice, hash browns, baked apple, etc... holy moly, we ate so much that we skipped eating lunch. Walt shared history...
