A must see Inn and great breakfasts - quiet, comfortable - good location for Brimfield- gotta see the beehive fireplace! Hot breakfast in the morning prepared just for you! Pretty area to explore but not much for evening dining in the area

It was only me and I had a spacious bedroom upstairs complete with full bath, mini refrigerator, and sitting area in front of the TV. Margaret served breakfast according to my schedule and her food was very nutritious and delicious. She served several dishes that I had not had before, and I loved that she served a healthy fruit dish... More

I came to the area for an agility trial at Wide World of Indoor sports in RI. All the hotels nearby were $150+/night and had very poor ratings, so I decided to take a shot at staying here. I brought my two dogs and we had a wonderful time. Margaret was a fabulous host, getting up early to prepare us... More

Staying at the Putnam Place was a great experience for my family and I. Margaret and Martin, were so welcoming, hospitable and genuinely caring. The area was very peaceful, the home was very comfortable, clean and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with them and learning about the history of the home. I didn't think things could get any better... More

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and we could not have asked for a better B&B. Great breakfast and the hospitality was through the roof! The place had a lot of charm and was very cozy. We will most definitely be staying here again !!

We stayed at ten bed and breakfasts on our two week tour of the New England states. The Putnam House was, by far, our overall number one choice! This was based on Margaret's friendly, helpful personality, the breakfast she made (hand pressed coffee and baked apples were only part of the deliciousness), the grounds - we were able to walk... We were attending a party in Sutton and looking for a place to stay. We had checked out many hotels and most were requiring two night minimums because of a college graduation in the area. We found The Putnam House in Sutton and called them. They only have two rooms, one of which is a suite with a nice space... More

We spent a night at the Putnam House B&B to attend a wedding in the area. Setting up the reservation was easy via email, the proprietors were super accommodating to our specific needs. The place is an immaculately kept farmhouse from 1736?. We stayed in the carriage house, which is not just a room, but a bedroom, big living room,... More

My wife and I stayed four nights in mid October 2012. We had a delightful experience. The charm of the 1700's farm house was everything we imagined. The breakfasts were far superior to any B&B we've visited previously. Our Welch hosts were absolutely charming - not to mention helpful in every way. We are already looking forward to our next... We recently stayed several days at the Putnam House B&B. Located on a hilltop in scenic Sutton, Massachusetts, the house is a restored 1737 New England farmhouse with attached (huge!) barn which has been painstakingly restored to its former beauty. With the exception of necessary updates such as a modern kitchen (but still with the old floors and barnboard walls)... More
