Detailed Reviews
Our Northern Berkshire stay used this location for easy access to the Clark and MAOCA in North Adams. Rocky was a fine host and provided local eating recommendations. Grazie in NA is a solid choice for high end Italian.
The motel property has been up-graded with freshened interiors in a 1950-s style. The rooms are attractive and spacious interiors, suitable for young families and those looking for good value.
Views and the central location to the many attractions in this area are tops.

I had a terrific stay at the Williamstown Motel and highly recommend it to those traveling to or through Williamstown, MA. The hosts, Rocky and Najma, were extremely gracious and helpful throughout my 2 night stay. The rooms were spotless and the hosts went the extra mile by dropping me off and picking me up at the Appalachian Trailhead, as well as cleaning my post-hike laundry. Furthermore, the motel is conveniently close to good restaurants, trail supplies, shopping and Williams College, and a continental breakfast is included with your stay. Highly recommended.

Among far pricier recently built and extensively renovated properties and less expensive under-maintained ones in which my parents stayed when I was a student in the 1960s, my wife and I were very pleased by this moderately-priced, family-run traditional property that really felt cared for. Our room wasn't "fancy," but everything we needed or thought about was there, in good working and appearance condition, and spotless. The bedding was comfortable and our room was quiet. We'll be back.

When I saw that this was an older motel with entrance doors to the rooms on the parking lot, intuition said to leave and check in to the Fairfield InnI had passed. Instead, I thought I would check with the owner and see the room. My biggest concern was safety, which family members also voiced as their concern.
After a conversation with the owner and seeing the room with 3 locking mechanisms on the door, I decided to stay. The owner stated the air conditioner was turned on early, and the room was ready for an early check in. At no time did he mention the bathroom window was open when he showed me a very compact bathroom. (My closet at home is larger than the bath.)
I caught up with my family to enjoy the village of Williamstown, Mass; it was a memorable and happy experience. Upon return I decided to retire early around 9 since I was checking out early the next day. The room was chilly so the a/c was turned off, and I put the one blanket on the hanging clothes rack on the bed myself.
At 10:15, the neighbor next door awakened me with a thumping sound on the walls. I was still chilled, so I dressed and decide to get an extra blanket from the office, which the lighted neon said it was still open. Walking over to the office, because the phone on the desk was not hooked up to call, I was greeted by a darkened office with lights on in the back.
The neon ‘OPEN’ light was still lit so relief flooded through me. No one answered the doorbell that I rang three times; after 7 minutes I went back to my room and put a hooded sweatshirt over my sleep clothes, tucked in the sheets and blanket for warmth and climbed back in the bed.
Around 11:30,after reading and quiet music were making my eyes heavy…the guest on the other side of me was moving in quietly, but bumping loud enough to hear. I’m not sure what time I fell asleep to be awakened by the cold again. Now noise of the cars and trucks in front of the motel were loudly wizzing by. I went in the bathroom to put a towel over the window as a noise buffer. The window was wide open and the curtains were tucked behind the towel bar.
Between the cold and the feeling of being unsafe, sleep came from exhaustion for awhile. The owner asked me to give him a 10 in my review, because he needed it. I wanted to give him a 10, and considered lying, so I waited.
It’s been 8 days since I checked out. I wanted to give him a 10. I need to be honest about my experience, and maybe it’s a bit long. It was a good value. You decide if you want to stay here.

We were in Williamstown for a funeral and then a birthday party. Williamstown Motel was more than I thought it would be. Check-in was smooth and before giving me the room key, they went and double checked that the room was clean and ready for us. Rocky and his family, including his children, were very friendly and helpful. the room was very comfortable and I liked that they left a bottle of water for each guest in the room. Rocky told us a little about the area and different places to visit. I will definitely stay there again.

Room was spacious and comfortable. We were pleased to have chairs upon which we could read with ease. The shower had warm water and worked very well. The room was quiet without disturbance from other guests, vehicles, or plumbing. The motel is convenient to attractions in Williamstown, North Adams, and southern Vermont.

An old style motel (rooms facing the parking lot) set far enough back from the road to eliminate noise. Even with a newborn, Rocky took time to suggest things to do (the Clark, MassMOCA) and where to eat. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast is sufficient, but if you want there's also a good diner within walking distance. Looking forward to staying there again !

We had a very pleasant stay at the Williamstown Motel while visiting the area for the Clark Art Institute and the MASS MoCa. The proprietors Rocky and Naj are very kind, and Rocky provided some great tips for visiting the area. The traditional motel-style room was large, clean, with comfortable queen beds, and included a handy fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a powerful A/C. We were very happy with the simple continental breakfast that included quality yogurts, a bran cereal, english muffins, and fruit. We will definitely stay there again next time we're in the area.

Our room was very nice…. very comfortable mattress, great shower with nice hot water, fluffy pillows.
Nice TV, refrigerator, ironing board…
Breakfast was nice… hot freshly brewed coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, English muffins.
And the best part was the owner, Rocky, who was very friendly, very welcoming and helpful in his suggestions of restaurants we could eat at.
We will definitely stay there again and refer others.
~ Gary & Elaine Burdick

This retro style motel is operated by a dedicated team. They continue to provide a nice experience. In a day of high hotel/motel pricing, they are a bargain and easily pass the bar.
The Northern Berkshires can be a treat on a senior budget. Thanks, Rocky, for this personal touch.
