Staff is polite and professional. Super clean room and lavatory. , Housekeeping Executive is one hard working woman super professional and very polite! Breakfast is ok could be a better selection…but all in all GREAT STAY! Highly recommend!
I'm writing this well after the fact, but want to address some of the poor reviews that have been posted. Granted, I have not been back since Oct. of 2021, but then they were first rate! I had a very stressful situation arise and needed a room for two nights and was accommodated very well by the staff at the Brighton South -US 23 location. My situation even got a bit worse and the GM, stepped up and helped me immensely! She was friendly and understanding and helped me out of a tight jam. I can't fully express how much her help meant to me; she was a lifesaver! I had stayed here once before due to a power outage at home and they were very accommodating then, too. The rooms are nice, the hotel is very clean and presentable as are the grounds. The breakfasts are first rate! This stay I needed a few things at check-in, and the night clerk was also very helpful and friendly, I wish I had made note of her name; she deserves thanks, too. There is a great variety of food in the "store" in case you need it (I did). I can't say enough good about this hotel and the people who run it, especially Laura Jackson. I would recommend it to anyone needing a nice, clean and comfortable room.…
I'm done with the IHG Brand! Arrived to frustrated staff after 6 pm. They gave me a room I had reserved and when I opened the door, the room was totally trashed. Took them another 30 mins to find any clean room, even much smaller than my originally reserved room. They apologized and stated they only had 2 housekeepers left on staff. Observed the manager and the other front desk staff folding towels. My reassigned room appeared to have clean sheets that were clearly hastily placed on the bed. There were horrible stains on the chair and carpet. Bathroom barely clean. I only sat on the bed. Left immediately the next AM and did not stay for second night as planned. It took a call to management before they would correct my bill. Hilton and Marriott from new on.
I have never in all my years of traveling, seen such a poorly run hotel. After driving 10 hours we arrived at 10:30 pm with our dogs. We found this hotel online on Travelocity, filtered for pets, and this property came up. So we called Reservations, asked about pet policy to confirm, and we were told the hotel accepts pets. Well, they don’t. We had to wait an hour while they called their manager, who never answered his phone. Meanwhile, the two women working the front desk were not empowered to make a decision. They also refused to give us a refund. We are senior citizens on a fixed income and a tight budget for this trip. Consequently, we are sleeping in our car at a truck stop. What a rotten experience. Just rotten. Poor, poor management. Perhaps you should hire a night manager or empower someone else to make decisions.…
Horrible experience. Called twice prior to arrival to confirm adjoining rooms, arrive only to find out not a option. Son and his families room was dirty, door malfunctioned locked out for hours. Pool broke. MANAGER unconcerned! Warning!
I can’t say this stay was completely horrible, it wasn’t. Housekeeping was phenomenal, breakfast and the young attendant went above and beyond to make our morning and meal special. Anything we needed, she had in the back and gladly grabbed for us with a smile! Never got her name because staff doesn’t wear name tags. The rooms are spacious and cozy, beds are comfy, room service was very helpful with towels and trash. The horrible part of this stay was the check in process and overall front desk service. Front Desk staff was a young blonde girl who was more focused with her cell phone than our check in. Not sure if she was new with little to no training, didn’t want to be there, or was sick, tired or all of the above but needless to say the whole demeanor of the front desk girl was off. Love staying at this property. Lots of new faces, some old. Great property and staff but maybe hire some new friendly front desk staff!…
Way to make me feel like I’m at my home away from home, from check inn to my stay he always had a smile and told me “have a blessed day” we talked and I told him I was Christian and he said he was catholic and I asked why he says that to everyone, his response “cause everyone needs to have a blessed day, may not be a great day but it can be blessed”. Very attentive to guest satisfaction, my wife like how other holiday inns had cheese muffins and other types. We have stayed there a long time and we remember Laura and she was amazing but this guy had those muffins within a week and it was just an above and beyond stay towards the end. He said “if it’s IHG approved, I’ll have them next week” just impressed to stay at a hotel and be treated like royalty. James, you were so nice and we can’t wait to come back. Good luck and you have “A Blessed Day”.…
I ended up choosing a 4 and I was trying to go between a 4 and a 5. It would probably be a 4.5. but definitely wasn't cheap, so I'll put it at a 4. It was clean and we liked it here. It has a pool without hot tub, and great breakfast options. We would definitely stay here again.
We often choose Holiday Inn Express hotels when we travel because we love the cinnamon rolls! We have been IHG members for years. For this trip, we booked through Hotels.com. When we arrived late at night, the parking lot was completely empty....and then we realized the parking lot had just been sealed (no big deal) - there was adjacent parking available. When we tried to check-in, the somewhat disinterested and disheveled person working the front desk said their computer systems were down and they couldn't verify our reservation - despite us having the emails from Hotels.com and the reservation confirmation numbers. He suggested that we call Hotels.com (not sure what Hotels.com was going to do...they already did their part and it was the hotel with the computer issue). In any event, we managed to fill out a form to guarantee the reservation and check-in. The next morning when checking out to continue on our way, we stopped at the front desk and they assured us that the reservation/payment would be resolved. When I got home from our trip a week later, we've found that the hotel has double billed our stay. Multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly with the hotel have gone unanswered. I will contact my credit card company to have the charges removed. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.…
I came in for a weekend stay passing thru for business. I love the room set up and how clean they were. I enjoyed breakfast even though it was simple I still rate it 8/10 for breakfast. Considering we’re in a middle of the pandemic this hotel is trying! I didn’t feel like anything was unattended to in my rooms with cleanliness! Whoever cleans these rooms, halls and general areas does a beautiful job. The man who checked me in upon my arrival definitely needed a shower and deodorant! I felt bad. Sometimes people can’t help it you know..Most time its very controllable. Extremely nice guy, very nice staff, great accommodations. Recommend.
