We chose this hotel as a midway stop when heading to northern Michigan. Immediately walking into the lobby, it smelled fresh and very clean. The receptionists at the desk were polite and friendly. They also guided us to a restaurant for dinner. The next morning we had a good breakfast provided in their nice dining room. Our stay was pleasant and we can definitely recommend this hotel again.

It is nice hotel. Updated. The only thing that is kind of gross when we saw the faucet. I think the cleaning lady just missed it or not aware of it. The pool is nice with hot tub. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good. Overall is good.

I was upset when I got up to my room on 2nd floor and the key card did not work. Big beautiful television but where are the usb ports to charge your phone with? Breakfast was great but the noise by the people attending to the breakfast area was so loud that I had to place ear plugs in my ears. Their door was propped open by a cart so the noise came out of the room they were working in. Had the door been shut, there would not have been much noise at all. I tried to inform the lady at the front desk and her comment back to me was I am not their boss. You do work for Holiday Inn and isn’t customer service part of her job? I heard other people talking about the noise, too so I wasn’t alone in this matter. Why have a door if you are just going to prop it open. I tried to ask for a accessible room but I was told by the front desk that my online reservation did not give me a choice to ask for an accessible room so I could not get one. I have heard many guests are getting a accessible room and are not truly handicap. I think before you give out these rooms you should insure at least one of the guests are handicap that are staying in that room. Why are your toilets so low to the floor?

We stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night. We arrived in the early evening. We checked-in and went to our room. Immediately upon opening the door, we were hit with a very very strong smoke smell. We went back to the front desk and asked for another room. We were told that there were no other rooms available. I explained to the 3 females working the front desk that I was pregnant and was extremely uncomfortable sleeping in a room that had clearly been smoked in. They told me there was nothing they can do. I pointed out to them that the hotel is 100% smoke free to which they agreed but again let me know there was nothing they could do. They then called housekeeping to ask if there is anything they can do. Housekeeping told them that they could spray something in the room. They handed my husband the bottle of spray and told him that he could go upstairs and spray the room. All the spray did was mask the smell. It was an extremely disappointing experience. I went back to the front desk three more times to ask if any cancellations had been made and was told no. For the cost of the room, this was one of the worst experiences that I have had traveling and staying at a chain hotel.

Spent one night during a fall color weekend trip. Very clean hotel. Staff was first rate and friendly. Room was perfect. Shower was equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Sink area had hand soap and body lotion. All with easy to use pump dispensers. Pool area was clean, the hot tub temperature adequate, and there was no overpowering bleach smell. Breakfast was above the average hotel selection. Pancakes, scrambled eggs and BACON. Sausage patties as well, but those should be skipped. Delicious cinnamon rolls, fruits and other items.

This hotel is in a convenient location, it is modern, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Masks are not required and the hotel stresses sanitation and social distancing is requested in public areas. We woul definitely stay here if we ever return to the area.

Our room was the same as all the other IHG hotels. It was clean and comfortable. Well appointed with data port charging stations. The room was quite, clean and comfortable. I would prefer the individual use toiletries rather than the multi use shampoo and body wash mounted in the shower.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express while in town for a family event. Since we were going to be here for a week we chose a suite to have more room. The suite photos online looked tight but our room on the third floor was spacious and comfortable. It had a separate space with a sofa bed and kitchenette (counter with sink, microwave and fridge plus ample cabinets). The king bed was on the other side of a wall with a sunny window. It worked well for this long trip.
Like most Holiday Inn Expresses, it included breakfast every morning with egg and meat choices in addition to pancakes and bakery options. The coffee was really good. An indoor pool and small fitness room. A laundry as well.
It would be nice if there was an outdoor sitting/lounging area. It’d also be nice if there was something closer for people who like to get out and walk. The hotel is on the south edge of town. A good Mexican restaurant is a half mile away along a busy street into town. It’s a healthy walk but does feel long.
The staff and housekeeping here are really friendly and helpful.

My spouse and I were taking a weekend trip to northern Michigan in March 2021 and had the opportunity of spending a Friday night at this Holiday Inn Express in Cadillac. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
We arrived at around 8:30 p.m. on a Friday and had a pleasant check-in experience with a friendly staff member. Our room (#303) was clean and comfortable... no problems there. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub and were grateful that it was open during the COVID pandemic. The hot tub was nice and hot which was great. Breakfast in the morning was quite acceptable, too.
The only thing that I wished this hotel would have had was a business center computer. Whenever I stay at a hotel, I like to be able to the computer for various tasks along the lines of web browsing that are easier to on a full desktop computer rather than a tablet or smartphone. Most Holiday Inn Express properties have a computer like this, and I was surprised that this one did not.
Despite this being an older Holiday Inn Express property, we really enjoyed our stay and would have no qualms about staying there again... maybe next time it might be possible for this property to have a business center computer set up. Thanks for a nice stay!
