This little place is right in town. The rooms are up above the bar and restaurant area. They have a wine tasting room. The chef at the restaurant is famous. Good food. We could walk up to our room after having drinks. The room was spacious. I suggest bringing your own pillows as they a little flat.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 6 September 2016 via mobile

My husband and I recently stayed at Hermann's Hotel after a long bike ride from Big Rapids to Cadillac on the White Pine Trail. What a treat! Such a nice change from the usual "big box" hotel chains. Check in is at the wine bar/deli on the main/street level; then you go around the corner and up to the back... More

Small number of rooms, seven in total. Each room has a full bath, sitting area, tv & separate heat/air controls. Located on the second floor if you enter street side. By parking in the rear of the building there are no stairs to climb. However the parking lot is very small. Worth the money.

Check-in ended sooner than listed (listed 3-11pm on Booking and 3-10 pm at the hotel). We arrived shortly after 9pm, and there was no staff available to check in with. Thanks to another guest and a helpful construction worker on site, we were able to get into our room after much hassle. Noise from the main road was a nuisance.... More

Really a star among many options to stay including the franchise name brands. Rooms were simply appointed but comfortable and clean. Stayed summer of 2016 while wine bar was still under contstruction and that looks to be a great addition and reason to stay.

I've eaten at Hermann's European Cafe numerous times. However, never before have I stayed at his inn. Last night was a first, but definitely not a last visit. Both my parents and I had large, comfortable, clean suites with 2 great beds, sitting area, work table, armoire, spacious bath, great windows, and just a wonderful overall feel. This stay was... We always opt to stay at Hermann's. Never disappointed! Large rooms, comfortable beds, great restaurant and bar. Close to Lake, shopping, recreational activities. Ask for the larger rooms....all the same price.

This hotel brought back old fashioned charm with all of todays' comforts. Very clean, quaint rooms located in the middle of the downtown area & above a restaurant, deli and wine shop, all of which are worth a visit. You won't be disappointed staying here.

Even after the positive reviews I read here, I was still apprehensive about staying here, just because it was so different and I was traveling alone. That was all for nothing, because I don't think I have ever been so pleasantly surprised. I was really tired after a long and stressful drive, and was so happy to find the hotel... More

My husband and I had booked a color tour of the Cadillac countryside in to the town of Boyne Falls with the Steam Railroading Institute. Yes, a color tour by train. We decided to stay overnight for two evenings in Cadillac. Hermann's came up in a Google search. We were intrigued. I booked our reservation through Hotels.com. We arrived on... More
